The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 7:30 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Kadina, Maitland, Minlaton, Wallaroo, Port Victoria and Bute. These thunderstorms are moving towards the southeast. They are forecast to affect Henley Beach, Port Adelaide, Virginia, Angle Vale, Gawler and Adelaide CBD by 8:30 pm.
Damaging wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding are likely. Large hailstones are possible.
A 112 km/h wind gust was recorded at Warburto Point, near Wallaroo at approximately 7:15 pm.
