Nodes are still looking great.
Snow level for the first node is about 1000m and the snow level for the second node is about 700m.
GFS has 15-30cm down for the Alps.
EC has 20-35cm down for the Alps.
I'd expect the second node to have a bit more duration and colder temps.
The uppers are better for the second node. -26 500mb height for the first node and -32 500mb height for the second node.

I really like that chart.
I saw a polar version of a couple of days ago. Showed a very nice 5 nodal setup.

AXS-R shows some pretty good moisture for the alps.
30-40mm - which should all fall as snow.
Nice start with colder weather mid week

how's it looking this morning?
I haven't been following it that closely and not at all on the mainland, but some of the second cold pulse figures over Hobart look to have fallen away.

I made my seasonal prediction of 164cm for Spencer's Creek. Fairly average.

Really? Didn't you make the prediction this will be a terrible ski season?

And wheres this 140cm for the alpine region gone that everyone was talking about?!

That was model output, showing a poor season. But a more accurate outlook can be found using climate drivers, like this one. I hope you like it.

I don't know what you mean about the 140cm?

The cold pools can be very strange and unpredictable. Somewhere low and unexpected is going to get lots of snow. Hard to say where that will be though.

Looks like most resorts picked up 10-20cm. With cold temps and snow making they will probably have stuff open on June long weekend.

Heading down to Melbourne in the last week of June, and considering a drive up on the Alpine Road to see some white stuff. Doesn't look like there's gonna be anything but sun and cold nights in the next 2 weeks though, so I'm not even sure it's gonna be worth it.

Is there a bit of a possibility for some falls around the 21st-23rd? BOM ACCESS has the 5400 line way up in the middle of NSW. Probably nothing to get excited about though.

Yeah GFS hints something on 24-26 June.
ACCESS 21-23 June.
EC Nothing.

Negative anomalies on GFS VP200 charts. Looks potential for low development and getting rid of the ridging high.

Latest BOM ACCESS is pushing the 5400 line up into NSW on Wednesday and Thursday next week with a bit of precipitation about the place. Hope this means the end of the bastard high of doom.
