Hi DaveM it was fun. So much hype being school holidays etc - saw quite a bit of bared flesh too in celebration on last Sunday mornings effort - well more than I'd normally see at that time in the morning!

Anyone think that settling snow is on the cards in the NSW Central West this Saturday? Contemplating a day trip and a bit of fishing at Oberon Dam - a possible snow event would be a valued bonus.

I'm not quite as optimistic as Dave and Wazza. It's looking very marginal, I would only expect decent settling on Shooters Hill and other exposed areas above say 1300m. But at least there's moisture. I'd say just go and see what happens!! grin Oberon might be touch and go for a dusting.

Shaping up to be the best CT's event so far this season.

Ah... Yes, I didn't specify my readings correctly.

The settling will more than likely be .3cm at 1200m and 1.3cm at 1400m.

Thank you fellow cold weather lovers, appreciate it. Think I'll shoot up to Shooters after some fishing in the morning.

Love it up there anyway, have missed out before on snow, but not left unhappy about being there.

Yeah, looks like it. Tbh I'd forgotten about that Saturday change as I've just constantly had my eyes set on next Wednesday and Thursday which have looked impressive for days now.

Cheers Samboz, hoping for a snow chase on one of those days. I am reasonably confident of a decent cold pool in NSW, but yes it looks like Victoria will be warmer.

Actually scrap that, it looks like it will quite cold in Vic as well with some precip. I'm looking at 00z GFS.

With warmer weather being forecast it could be looking gloomy for the snow - but with the AAO looking like it does below then we could well see some bigger southern ocean storms coming through over the coming weeks:

Fingers crossed for an awesome end to the season, and perhaps even a stronger front bringing some snow up to N NSW too smile
