Rain band to t he north of us and another to the south of us. Southern burbs appear to now be in a rain free corridor.

yep, was always gunna be someone will get it and someone
will miss out, that's the way the cookie crumbles.
see what happens when that clear slot near ceduna slides
over southern EP. would have thought if something was going
to happen it would have started by now. still a few hours
left yet but the window of opportunity is rapidly drawing
to a close. it did have good potential and paramaters were
good to excellent, just didn't get the damn clear slot soon
enough.
massive line of prolonged storms to the south. something
like that could only happen out somewhere where no one
could enjoy it. seems like the forcefield is doing it's job nicely.

there's even storms out in bass straight and heading
toward melbourne/geelong, how quaint.
1.2mm here so far, that makes 3mm all up, a veritable
delude of biblical proportions.

In a good stream up here currently... 9.4mm since 9am. No wind and it's been pretty constant for the last couple of hours. smile

Bottom/back edge is to be watched closely, some nice little cells already popped on the front below Marion Bay

yer not much left for the southerners now.
Should still see good bands moving through nth burbs, Mid North and into Riverland overnight. Still expecting to wake up tomorrow with around 20-25mm from system tbh. Maybe I'm a tad optimistic but considering models still have this band intensifying overnight I'm quietly confident...
Should all be clearing by lunchtime.

Had a decent downpour around 10:15pm at Hazelwood Park. If that is any indication to go by, this slow moving shower heading towards Adelaide and the southern burbs may be a real soaker.

had a short heavyish increase in rainfall amount around then
but not sustained enough to make a significant difference to
totals for me.

checksum.........WTF

i wrote the above and then went out to check the rainguage.
i went to sleep around 9:15ish and there was 5mm in it then,
now there's 14.2mm in it. the radar did show i was on a narrow
convergence line bit that's ridiculous. i was thinking if i
had 6-7mm in there i'd be laughing. what a fickle setup.
What did you get Je, you're on the same line as me, you should
have got similar.

looks like it was pretty much spot on with the set up. Models had that band reforming right on the time it did... lucky for the sth burbs you still copped the edge of it to up your totals a bit more. Nth burbs and hills got smashed & still are.

Bugger, didn't know that came in. Have yet to see an A380 in Adelaide.

Recorded 26.2mm in the gauge as at 745am this morning. System total 28.2mm.

yer pretty unlucky really considering Loxton got 16mm... just been slightly south...
You'll see a bit today but I cant imagine it will be more than 5mm.
TBH though vineyards up there don't want it atm.

Looks like summer with a vengeance up there though this week....
