Nice end to January, finished the month on 428.3mm, 24mm above average. The airport wasn't too far off average either, coming in at 374.8mm, 19.5mm under average.

Should be plenty of rain for us all over the next 48hrs.

12mm from that last shower. Very nice and unexpected. That puts me over the 5-10mm forecast by GFS over the next 192hrs. So should not get another drop for the next 8 days crazy

18mm rain so far today out here. Hopeful of a bit more overnight. Did a bit of digging in the garden on Sunday and realised just how dry and hard the ground was. Today in town felt like a real wet season.

Haha over GFS prediction here too Simmo. Got home this arvo and 7mm in the tube, got home again tonight and almost 25mm. This current shower will tip into the big tube.

See if I can keep my nose in front this month HF smile

Always nice to get more rain than the models forecast.

I miss the days when I was a contender in the Rainfall Challenge. Last year I believe I was in front for most of January then you guys flung your mudpies at me while I sat in my dust bowl.

129mm here last Jan, my highest is 895.6mm in 2009 - Bentley park.
550.2mm is my current (Jan) record for G'vale though.

A lull here for the moment, a scud hitting most beaches though?

Nice totals for January RF, let's hope February can deliver even more!

Some of these scuds approaching have a bit in them if you're lucky enough to get under one.

Are you rained in Scott12 - reports of 150 - 170 in the Tully area.
Checking the road closure sites to see if any flooding probs - my partner drives home today from the Glenden mine area.
That would be annoying!
36mm here at Utchee Creek.
