Checking the road closure sites to see if any flooding probs - my partner drives home today from the Glenden mine area.
That would be annoying!
36mm here at Utchee Creek.

Just 94mm here Kowree..the biggest falls seemed to be just south of Tully....

It was enough to bring my creek up though, with the creek water coming up the top of my loaded box trailer this morning..it started to be pushed downstream with 2 wwoofers sitting on top of the load of mulch..lol..

Bloody awesome mate, Waiting patiently for some real rain up this way, but not complaining either as we are only just below avg.. But it seems like years have passed since we had real wet season rains. How fickle the human memory.. cheers

Seems like that in regards to storms also!
It has been about 5 years since the creeks flooded out onto the roads,as they did earlier this year.

Feb was much the same with 150. A combined Jan,Feb total of 280mm for 2016 and 275mm on Jan 7 2017 for comparison.

And another 46mm since this morning. Very nice. The garden has gone from crunchy to squelchy in just over 24 hours 😀

Interestingly enough there hasn't been as much on Green island during the days as there has been on the coast. The uplift on the hills sure makes a difference. Only one decent shower on the island today and that is it.

Beautiful photos Raindammit.
Rained here mid morning, completely soaked the person changing my gas cylinder, then stopped. Zero in the rain gauge.

I'll be in Cairns Thursday afternoon and Friday - will I get wet? Last trip, or was it the one before, was the first time in years of coming to Cairns every 2 weeks, that I've had to wait for the rain to stop, or get wet.

Lovely park there Raindammit. Googled Belgian Gardens cos I have the need to geography myself in this state and it used to be called German Gardens but of course this was changed WW1 time as so many good old German names were.
85mm as at 6am and still raining.
At dawn the clouded skies were an eerie pinkish colour, very ethereal like.
