Amazing total for Jan there YS. Chalk and cheese last year to this year.

Nice pics RD.

Another 6.2mm in the gauge. Very hazy morning here too.
How long do people think this next wet spell will go for? And when do people think the monsoon will travel down the coast again? The BOM 4 day map has it just sitting on the tip and not really moving at all.

Not my favourite memory either HF..

105mm for the last 24...very nice cool working conditions apart from the inevitable decay on various bodyparts...

Nice to see RD's swimming pool filled up again..!

6 years on, and there is very little evidence it even happened. The rain forest along the creek still isn't as tall or as dense as it was before, but it's 80% there. Here's a comparison between the pics I took yesterday and just after Yasi:

Yep can do without a year like that again,HF..

A bit of sunshine would be nice now though...soggy and boggy here now...max of 28c here yesterday..it doesn't look like much change in the days ahead...?

Beautiful spot RD.

Scott12 I hope it stops for just a little bit, I have a slab going down in the next couple of days.

Geez mate, you have picked a bugga of a time to start a new build....I remember one feb/march period when we first moved here when it rained for 63 days straight..!...let us know how you get on with it.. it might be quite an adventure..

Could be some intense rain later on for Gvale. So humid and radar showing new incoming.

15mm in gauge at moment

That haze wax all the way out to Chillagoe. Strange. It was the same all the way to Mareeba and Cairns.

There was a weird haze most of the day here once the cloud went away

Couldn't clearly see GI this morning untill we were about 2 miles away. It felt like downtown Beijing. Crazy

The haze is humidity because the air is nearly saturated.

When I rang a shop in town their lights were flickering. Also the pic I posted above was headed toward town from East Trinity side, visibility was very low on Pine creek rd at that time apparently.
