Lucky you HF.

No rain overnight, but stiff breezes occasionally as cells slipped past.

Looks like a nice little bit heading our way now. It will pass to the north, or dissipate over the Featherbeds.

I haven't ventured out to the nylex yet as it's still raining too much. Seems we didn't get that nice extended blob that HF showed from the radar. Regardless, it's raining nice and heavy right now.

Just had a look at the pool.... as we know in FNQ, it's the next best thing to a Nylex hehe. It's been raining more than I thought overnight. Also looked at the nylex from a distance and can see it's about 3/4 full so I'm guessing 70mm?

Forgot to mention, we did get 3mm some time between 6am Thurs and 3pm Friday. Every little bit counts. 😑

80mm for me. Pretty much heavy solid rain for around an hour early AM.

Models are starting to all show signs of a Low/TC in the CS or the gulf, or both. The CS system may be the dominant one. Plenty more rain to come over the next few days before the low starts sucking it all away possibly around Wednesday.

25.2mm here which is a lot more than I expected. Takes me to 393.8mm YTD so only 98mm to go to beat last years total.

HF, Whats your mate, the MJO, doing at the moment?

Waiting for the next lull to do another nylex dash. Am interested to see what has fallen in the last hour as it has been constant.

Just checked the nylex again and we've had 25mm in the last hour or so, making over night total 112mm .... Been a long time since we've had good constant rain like that.

Loving the wet stuff , creeks up and down on each good shower, River has a nice fresh flow in it. smile

119mm this morning , but have had more than 25mm since I did reading and went checking fences on day light.

Can always see my totals on the link in my signature line Dormant. I try to remember to put it up by 07:30 most days , lol

enjoy your day weather friends.

Cheers

Big night of rain - not sure how much we had as I did not check the gauge since Thursday - but I had 169mm in the guage this morning. I had another 93mm on Feb 1st.

YRD = 569mm - not bad!!

MJO is starting to rage and slowly move south, Simmo. Looks like it could spawn a few lows over the coming week. Models are starting to show good signs of a Low/TC in the CS, but unfortunately moving it SE at this early stage!!

Bet your loving all this rain, DU?

Oh, right, Bunyip, that'll teach me for having a pared down preferences page.

Ok, the rain can stop now...still have to find out why my studio floods despite digging out the trench on the upside of the slab.

Not to be too picky here HF , But I believe the MJO moves West to East and is currently Moderately strong in signal strength and entering / in our region , It's the Monsoon Trough that is moving South and also strengthening / deepening to possibly spawn Lows in-bedded in the trough.

Well thats my understanding of things , and I could well be wrong.

Cheers
