Thursday is looking incredible. ACCESS is off the wall, has the 5840 line right down to Melbourne and has the next line up over SA and NW Vic. It has pockets of 32C 850hpa temps extending down to the Riverland. Cannot wait for this afternoon's BOM update. Cannot wait until Thursday

i'll do the honors and welcome you back
hopefully things go better this time around.
understandable why you're happy, at last you get a
little warmth, hopefully the first of a few for you
before the end of summer which us now rapidly
btw which model were you using for 32° 850s?
none on WZ or BSCH showed 32°
if i had seen 32 on any models i would have spat my
coffee all over the screen.
Geez could crack 50 in the Riverland on Thursday!!!
without going into the dramatics of posting a ridiculous picture i'll quote.......
"now that's just crazy talk"
and i'll take the time to qualify my one line quip.......
32° 850s does not automatically qualify for a crack at 50°.
850 to surface is not an automatic direct correlation just using DALR.
the most reliable models we use none have shown 32° 850s
that i have or can see.
here's what models show at the moment.......
BOMs highest forecast for renmark is 45° which doesn't
come within a bulls roar of 50°. even if the forecast
was 47° (which it may do) or even 48° it still doesn't
come within a country k of 50°, most people don't realise
just how hard circumstances and parameters have to push
to get there. i reckon renmark would have to crack at
least 33° 850s before it even got a sniff at 50° on the
if the unlikely event occurred that somewhere does get
record 50° bom will put it under the microscope and
scrutinize it very carefully before making it official.
who knows, one day in the future maybe, but not in the
enough already, just bring it on.
