Must be a fault because it really doesn't feel like it out there, its warm but not disgusting like it reads.

Yeah it is a fault. Now reads a DP of 28 deg and feels like 48 !

CURRENTLY AT ROCKHAMPTON AP
24-Hour Graph
Temperature 34.0C rising
Dew Point 28.2C rising
Feels Like 47.8C

Muggy on the coast, all I did was refill birdbaths and my tshirt is half drenched in sweat.

Some of the plants that are supposed to thrive in dry weather aren't coping unless I give them a bit of a drink due to how dry it is and the sandy soil.

Bit of rain here would be so nice. Total for Feb, 2.5ml.

I am becoming depressed seeing my garden die.

All those pretty colours. Any one want to bet they all miss us.

I went to the shop today and saw some wet patches on the bitumen. Only a few. And no, I do not have bitumen. Another case of so near and yet so far.

Those pretty colours did miss us.

But at 2am I was woken to the sound of rain. Of course I went ladder climbing to make sure every bit possible could make it into the tank. 20 lovely mls.

Well better than nothing I guess, should prolong the gardens life that bit longer too.

We have dead patches in our lawn now where the grass is just dead. Such was the intense heat of Summer.

Hopefully it helps them. It is so sad to see all my trees dying but without water falling from the sky there is nothing I can do.

This is the driest it has been since we came here nearly 23 years ago.

Some good falls out in the Emerald Springsure area last night.

Nothing along the coast still. I was talking to someone from the Callide valley a few days ago.

They have had 70mm since September last year.

Spent a loud and noisy night partying with all the youngsters last night.

Came home to damp stuff. Wonderful. 6ml in the gauge. Must have been a hard shower cause their had been a bit of run off around the place.

Most welcome.

Phew it's muggy today and the breeze is very light .

Yeppoon averages 0.5 days of 30 or more in March apparently.

Not surprised at that. It is so dry. Even right on the coast where I was last night just out of Bundaberg is bone dry.

It will rain in useful amounts one day. I just hope it is sooner rather than later.

Wonder how long 'till Livingstone and Rockhampton are added to drought declared areas.

33 in March tomorrow crazy...

Bet this will be like last year with the heat still going into May.
