Today was ridiculous. Everything was looking good early arv then it all just blew away

I dunno Vinnie, it is extremely green here. Had 40mm last week in three falls.

I am amused now after what went on last year. Rockhampton was getting huge falls and us here were getting very little and some did not seem to believe me and went on about how last year was the wettest or second wettest on record.

Now Rockhampton and area is missing out badly and while nothing massive has fallen here, it is quite green.

I think the cyclone will now stuff our weather up and keep it dry here.

This ongoing heat is absolutely ridiculous. The heat today was disgusting, I was sure we would get a storm. A **** ass storm developed behind Mt Archer but dissipated as fast as it popped up. The only reason my grass is green is because I like to water it often as i hate looking at a dead lawn. hope this crappy weather breaks soon. its like mango madness up in Darwin just non stop lol....aaagghhhhhh

I am feeling more hopeful this morning.

Both contrails and 'mares tail' clouds. Both are usually harbingers of rain in a week or so.

Same here. My grass is all green but I water it . Thank goodness for underground water and pop up sprinklers. Needed mowing after 2 weeks...

I can't let it die off as we are on sand and it would be a dustbowl.

Yeah humidity is far lower than on the coast. Makes sense it would feel a bit cooler in Rocky.

Funny it has actually hit 40.0c today, on a day where it was only forecast to reach 38c.
there has been atleast 2 days of temps forecast to reach 40c+ but never eventuated.

it was nice earlier but now the stupid seabreeze has come through and raised the humidity by 20%.

3 days of 36c weekend/next week. I cant remember a March so warm. it reached 41.3c in March '07 but it was a lot cooler the next day. disgusting stinking weather. makes you not so interested in meteorology almost lol.

Quite isolated at the moment and no real direction to any of these cells developing. The weather is broken.

Theres a little bit on the radar, might be the best chance of a sprinkle for Rocky for many weeks.

I'm getting pretty doubtful of anything. The better action is north of us around Samuel Hill etc. Nothing of real substance down this way and it doesn't build, just develops and dissipates. frown

I give up. Shower that passed over here and made it more humid has exploded north of here. Absolute BS.

Well at least it has cooled off, cloud has thickened.

Feels like temp dropped from 33deg to 28.

Sick of having air con on so much. Normally it is not so damn warm on the coast.
