Did anyone get any falling sky water today? I think this failed season has finally broken me, checked the radar at 4 pm nice little cell just west of Gladstone, didn't even bat an eyelid as knew we would get nothing. Forecast looks semi promising for tomorrow, haven't seen the words "rain areas" used in god knows how long. But I am guessing that somehow we will miss out on that as well and it will fall further north towards Mackay. Rocky might get lucky. Sorry for the pessimistic post lol.

Wrasse, there was a quick moderate shower in Glenmore at around 2pm, other than that dark clouds around and some thunder. I think a lot of us are feeling really deflated about the lack of any decent or storm. Honestly thinking about it we really haven't had what I'd call a 'classic' thunderstorm all season.
I'm looking forward to winter hoping there may be some decent colder SWly changes, but I think any rain to fall this year will be then so probably be too mild to get too cold. Time will tell. There is still a possible thunderstorm on the cards for tomorrow but only 'possible heavy falls' unlike today's 'possibly severe' forecast.

Yea a few km from me there would have been 10mm or more going by the water lying around.

It was another strip storm. Maybe 5km wide. Pretty much all we got last year as well, with one big difference. We missed out all last year and now we are getting them. And I think some last year were thinking I was bonkers going on about how we missed out, while Rocky was getting many falls. When you get all the rain, it is easy to think the rain is everywhere.

Heavy falls mostly inland, currently only on the coast. No real direction. This place is f**ked. No rain today here I can guarantee

Nothing here in my suburb , I'm near the Causeway and apart from a distant rumble and a brief spit that's it.

Weird with Yeppoon hey, it looked like a pretty decent amount of rain was sat over the AWS, however only 0.4mm recorded? And the humidity hasnt really gone up at all? It seems to happen a bit with that one.

Any storms that do start to spark are dying rather quickly, obviously the upper layers aren't suitable to sustain them today.

yeah brad, i feel like it would have to develop right over us for us to get anything
there seems to be trouble with the atmosphere holding any moisture in the air above this town lol

I'm still not getting excited until I hear and see it but it's looking like we have more than a ten percent chance of getting a few drops today. Healthiest radar image I have seen in a long time. And just heard the first rumble.

That cell was too far west, next will be too far east. GRR.
