right my take then....

isolated showers/storms developing along the ranges and MN ranges tomorrow. More widespread south-east of Murray Bridge/Bordertown, particularly along convergence lines off the Coorong.
Wraparound developing overnight Monday from Victoria, with widespread shower/storm activity over the Lower SE and Kangaroo Island. Possibly also eastern border areas in the mallee.
On Tuesday, I think lower EP, Lower YP and the Fleurieu could see a bit in addition to KI and the SE, with Adelaide, the ranges, and the Mallee seeing development in the arvo as well.

Rainfall very variable.... Quite possible some places in the lower SE could see 50mm+, otherwise other areas mentioned its possible some places could see 10-20mm, but Adelaide and ranges limited to 2-10mm I think.

for monday..........
the moisture pool coming from the east has some concentrated
areas of hugh pwats, up to 50mm, so there will be some
reasonably decent areas of heavier falls. coming from the
east orographic uplift from the ranges will favour higher
rainfall on the eastern side of the ranges. the moisture pool
westerly dropoff gradient is quite steep and puts the eastern
side of the gulf/adelaide as on the line so final real life
analysis could see adelaide getting anything from 0 to 10+mm.
typically the further east the more to be had with the area
bounded between adelaide, the bridge, ki and kingston progged
to fair best along with anything south of kingston to
naracoorte.
current forecast forecast soundings over the ranges are ok
and if adelaide is not blanketed by cloud cover any
development over the ranges should look pretty spekky.
for tuesday.......what can i say?.......
anywhere north of the s.e. quiet but @#$%^&*%^$# for the s.e.
get your camera ready RS, i wanna see pics of this.
the whole place is primed with low level moisture, low level
shear is nuts and current forecast soundings show the lfc
line looking like something out of darwin and have the place
cranked up for hard core explosive development.
24hrs will tell if this holds, shifts or disappears.
pity tuesday wasn't a saturday i'd starting to be gear up to
go down there right now.

Well if that's the case the I'll be watching my Father-In-Laws PWS quite closely then ( Coonalpyn PWS ). The temps that it reports are a bit wacky but it's generally pretty accurate with rainfall and humidities.

Just had 15mm rain in 5 minutes. Rain rate 50mm/hour. Squally thunderstorm, gales, brimstone, meteors, and volcanoes. All good now.
Clear skies one minute then popped up out of nowhere!

First rumble from some cells riding the sea breeze boundary to the west of Clare. Hoping they can propagate and give us a drink. Quite discrete which is nice.

just got home, checked the gauge and had a cow, came straight
in and checked radar and saw why, got absolutely smashed here
with 21.6mm. nuts.
looking at vis sat so much moisture most areas go up and slab
straight to rainout, mallee the cells more individual and
clear slots with less pwats, area mt gambier to meningie
slabbed to rainout early in area of max pwats. atmosphere
primed for the s.e. to go off tomorrow. mid to upper lse best,
lower lse not so good. -6LIs, 1000cape, 35 pwats and a killer
sounding has got me foaming at the mouth.

It's worth having a gander at the doppler loop for the last few hours. Fast moving OFB surging north! (just triggered those cells near Kapunda).

Also some gravity waves (albeit very minor ones) earlier off the to west of Adelaide were formed by the Adelaide metro cells.

The lightning map that others on here have recommended does not appear to be working about Adelaide anymore. The station at Salisbury is operational and is currently tracking the lighting in Central Victoria. For some reason though the site is failing to plot lightning close to Adelaide. Before I email them I wanted to see if others are having the same problem.

upper trough AND associated upper coldpool, weakening, makes
for good vertical instability best area set to go through
southern EP, southern YP, KI, F. peninsular and southern burbs.
starting to work its magic already sw of tip of EP.
what's so special about that lightning map? i just use the WZ
one, it's accurate, reliable and hasn't faltered to the best
of my knowledge. still it's a bit like a choice of car i suppose.

Just for what it's worth....
Today at work (dry creek) , lets just say,, the creek should now be wet....!!!
nice development with tight tall billowing towers is a great sign for something to happen,, and happen it did.
Thunder, lightning,,,,, and bucketing heavy persistent rain.
I don't have a gauge at work,, should get one, but for now, a guess,... 12 -18 mm...lets just say,,, all roller doors down and doors shut. smile
Got home to NOTHING,,, dry and desolate lookin.
So i've been watching the skies and weatherzone maps / radars whathave you,,, and yes,, now watch for further development over the next hours,,, some should get a surprise .... and some will be dissapointed....
MY TURN PLEASE smile

southeast going bananas already.
and talking about bananas, there's a whole plantation going
off on our doorstep.
might have to slip down to the beach and have a peek-a-boo
methinks.
steering is se but building east as the coldpool moves, seems
to be mainly on the top edge, will it have enough grunt to get here?
according to gfs it's a big 10-4, FP touching -6LIs should get
smashed between sunrise and midday. looks like the southern
burbs on the top edge of things. coldpool should contract se
as the day progresses.
southern ranges up for a go again.
pretty much anywhere around a line from adelaide to naracoorte.
havn't seen a big juicy patch of purple LIs over the se like
that for years......b/stds.
sorry RS but i think your out of the loop. looks pretty much
naracoorte/kingston up.

yer still looks good for anywhere south a line Cummins/Pt Wakefield/Loxton today. Again some people will get nothing and others might see 10mm.
South East certainly the bulk of it, and the bulk of the storms as well, with rainfall higher obviously down there as well.

How far away are the gauges? The storms were very hit and miss, and it's a fair distance from one side of the airport to the other.

I be correct it was actually unconfirmed reports of 110mm in 3 hours as Lucindale got a bulk of the rain but this storm did pack a punch as a mate of mine who does one of the fire towers down this way got woken up after 3 am by a massive crack of thunder and a fair bit of lightning as Thunda said this weather system is like something you would see in Darwin which is correct

A big 10-4 on that Pooley had a good drink of rain early this morning at the moment its eerily calm with no rain falling at all something straight out of Darwin i say bring it on if there is a little bit of electrical activity yet to come

ok, like when the space shuttle blew up the liftoff announcer
after a pregnant pause calmly stated "we have an anomoly".
i went to WZ Q and A, there was a thread started there on the
problem. all sorted now anyway.
gunna be gooey for the rest of the week and the weekend by
the looks, not clearing until next mon/tues.
need to enjoy it while it lasts, winter will be here soon

Went outside and to my surprise can see distant flashes to my SE. Looks like it's all that stuff well SE of Ouyen. PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTT failwhale fail at life. Missed out again. Roll on next spring thunderstorms are incapable of occuring here. Haven't had a storm since November cry

Today was the most oppressive day of the month, humid, barely a breeze, sunny, definitely one to stay inside and drink beer. Felt hotter than anything in Feb after that 47C day as well owing to the humidity and lack of breeze.

Drink stout grin The endless fizzers this summer here (today included), especially the great fizzer of Dec 28. 2016, is enough to turn anyone into an alcoholic.
