Was definitely a good day to tell how out of whack the radar is with how slow things were moving. It really made it stand out.
Ended up with 10.8mm.
Things looking OK for the rest of the week. Lets hope the potential upcoming late season activity in the CS can bring some decent falls. Ita was in April 2014 and I recorded 315mm in just over 24 hours in Redlynch. Time will tell.
The Saddle Mtn radar hasn't been right since the day it was installed Simmo. They've had a few shots at fixing it, but nothing changes. I'm sure the techs just turn it off for a day, bbq a few steaks & snags for lunch, have a snooze, turn it back on and drive back down the range.
I use WZ's radar which is the same (obviously) but a jazzier paint job,- the thing being is that their light green shading isn't light rain, it's no rain, nothing, not even virga!
Always seems way over sensitive.
