Nice looking convergence zone showing up on radar, albeit only wetting the ocean more, north of Straddy and edging further south. With the right curvature, might be a wet commute for some people over the far southeast.

RWM: Streamline analysis charts are great for the gradient wind level and when there's strong synoptic scale wind flows although they tend to become very "noisy" and chaotic at the surface especially overnight/early morning as well as when there's thunderstorms around with outflow boundaries all over the place. This is especially the case the further north you go.

Everthing was wet this morning along my commute from Strathpine to Milton, good to see a wide area getting much needed rain.

49 to 9am in the nylex here, but 56 at the diamond valley ALERT gauge just 500m away... 🤔

I think that circulation has dampened the chances of much rain anywhere from Brisbane to bundy for the next few hours at least... we haven't had a drop since we went into the north side of it and all the precip shifted offshore and into nnsw.💩

All things considered looks like 150mm or so more is likely here over the next week... 🙏🏻fingers crossed.

56.2mm here last night, very welcome indeed but still need a lot more.

It was always going to dry out a bit from today through to Friday as a trough becomes established off the NSW coast, then showers and rain areas to increase again on the weekend as the new ridge knocks it back north.

Hey Doug, friend just sent me pics and video, caught in a shed with the kids and dogs while the hail falls on the roof lol. Looks like a good un, now if it can just grow legs and keep on coming this way!
