The quidge is back in absolute full force after about Friday. So we get what, a week of intermittent rain followed by another 3 months of nothing. Seems about right.

I'm not quite so sure it's so certain by Friday. But being realistic, your probably right that the thing that should not be mentioned will probably be mentioned before that end of the month.

Good Morning All, Thank you for the warm welcome.
This morning there has been quite intermittent showers, heavy at times & quite dense fog. The Gully in my yard is flowing nicely, I have mushrooms popping up everywhere, and everything is lush & green again. Makes for a perfect lazy day. Fingers crossed that others get some much needed rain that have missed out so far.

Hi all, I've been watching the posts re this event with interest. Plenty of rain activity round these parts with a squally night that blew half my washing from the line...road was closed due to flooding so didn't get into work today. But said road has since reopened so tomorrow ..."I owe, I owe, its off to work I gooooo, with a heydee-hoe etc"(you get the idea smile )

33.0mm in the 24hrs to 9am. Some overnight showers boosting the total. No recordable rain since 9am.
The month to date rainfall total exceeded 400mm during last night (currently 414.4mm). The wettest month here since June 2011 (631.2mm) and the wettest March since 1974 (536.1mm)(the month Tropical Cyclone Zoe affected SEQLD/NENSW).

Currently, a minor to moderate flood warning for the Orara River and a minor flood warning for the Richmond River.
The highest 24hr to 9am fall in NENSW was 167mm at Woodburn.

Back to the wet Gold Coast after a wild weekend down at evans head rock fishing for jew smile awesome wild conditions , BIG swell , no wind , plenty of solid rain.... I mean SOLID rain. Had an amazing lightning filled night Saturday night and some very slow almost stationary systems park on top of us and to the west.
Sunday lunch time it was amazing watch some of the most heavy , moisture laydened storm clouds I've seen , propergate just off shore really nice to watch while standing on the rocks waiting for a jew to hit the baits smile smile
Absolutely so impressive to watch a small white puff , turn into a massive front in a short 15 to 20 mins.
Plenty of jew fish cought up and down the coast this weekend , just not buy us.
The few of our garanteed spots where un-fish able for likey reasons.... The safe ones the sweep was going the wrong directions for us and we could visually see jew smacking muttet off the surface on the tide changes , but about 30 meters out of reach frown
Never mind , awesome weekend of fun and fishing and weather...... That's liVin.

Tim.

It is absolutely bucketing down atm!:D Woohoo! Even the odd rumble thrown in too. Wind is also slightly picking up. Definitely going to be some nice total's from that Train-line.

Had some pretty heavy showers happening where I was working at the Gabba today, but checking the rain gauge at home it appears we missed most of the heavier stuff, with just 8.7mm falling at Salisbury...definately had more then that at the Gabba. Brings my event total to 86.1mm, which I can't complain about.
