hi to those that do the web work for weatherzone
hopefully this will get to you ?

I just noticed today that the zoomed radar for Sydney is no longer zoomed in as far as it has been and was up till a couple of days ago. The detail for the Sydney region is now next to useless frown
Please reinstate the closer in zoom so that we can again see the storms ad they move across the Sydney Basin region smile

cheers
Dave

the WZ radar has always gone to 128km (you can access the 64km radar from BoM), the only thing thats changed is that WZ added in a few extra towns etc

I disagree that nothing has changed. I use the Radar frequently and often zoom between 64,128,256km range. These options disappeared some time last week, and now State level is the only option under Zoom.
I'm located Canberra, so it's not just a Sydney thing.
I'm using Weatherzone+ on IOS (iPad and iPhone), and got someone else to check on their iPhone - same thing, so it's not account related.
There have been no updates to the App installed in the last month, so it must be a server side change.

The BOM radar station at Captains Flat (the main radar for the South Coast, Southern Highlands, and ACT regions) has been off-air since the 19th.
Not sure how the BOM system works, but if they use a networked grid of all the radar stations, then that outage might kybosh their ability to create the composite zooms images for NSW.
If I change the location to say Perth WA, the zoom options are all working.
So, it's the BOM feed, not Weatherzone itself.
