Has EC been accurate so far this year?

I'd love to see a big sloppy cat 1 do an east coast tour. The cane is too high to be able to withstand anything higher. However a flood it can handle.

The cyclone that hit Yeppoon 2 years ago, was it showing up on the models a week or two previous that it was going to come our way at all ? I guess what I'm saying is was it always predicted to hit north of Yeppoon and not say Mackay/Townsville?

Was forecast to hit Mackay Vinnie before it did a southward turn, not sure but I think earlier it was pegged to hit further north than Mackay.

I would be evacuating now while you have the chance or at least buying the supermarkets out of UHT milk and baked beans. Ensure the Journos get a hold of this to spread the word. wink

That will get some interest anyway. At least the models are having some interest in something happening Access R & G , EC, UKMET and CMC all have cyclone/low in the area bounded btw Cairns - Willis Island - Townsville all around same time frames 26-28 March.

Now sit back and wait to see how conditions play out been a while since the Coral Sea spat something decent towards Qld.

Why do people clear the shelves of baked beans first?

No cyclone please! About time we had a record-free cyclone season in the Coral Sea.

Good grief, you get enough rain in Brissie for all of QLD put together. We desperately need a cyclone to form and then dissolve into a magnificent tropical rain depression to fill our dams.

Bet you've never experienced a proper cyclone ..............

Not sure how to place in here. But check out the latest EC graphic on the weatherzone charts for EC 7 day outlook at the 168hr mark.

That will get Nth Qld hearts a pounding media will do backflips. Looks like a Yasi or Larry
