Still 28 degrees here with a DP of nearly 24! I was just starting to get acclimatised to cooler nights and we get a sticky, muggy one that wouldn't be out of place in Feb! Oh well it'll probably be the last one for a while judging by the cooler temps forecast.

Incredibly hazy in Wollongong this afternoon, with the salt air being trapped by warmer air aloft. Wasn't so bad in Dapto where there wasn't much of a seabreeze.

That's weird you say that.
It was incredibly hazy is Sydney this afternoon as well.
It was a bluey/smokey type haze and quite thick, associated with burn off control......but there was no smokey smell.
I noticed that cloud started to develop once this haze appeared.
It was quite strange.

Actually you're right, I was walking past some trees and the sun shining between the branches had that same look as it would if it was shining through light smoke. We didn't get the cloud though.

Seems to be warming up again. 28.2 at the Airport, 27.4 at OH. Maybe at OH, today's maximum hasn't happened yet.

I just checked the March record minimum for OH. It's 19.7. For the month to date it's tracking at 20.1. If tonight's warm night and tomorrow's cool night are as forecast, it will be another new 'warm' record.

Yeah Steve, imagine a warm record at the end of March. Ludicrous!!

And yes it's amazing Knotty, today was certainly a mid summer's day. Albion Park at a tame but very humid 22C while we are at 23.8C.

And 29C at Olympic Park. These kinds of temperatures at this time of night would be out of place in mid summer, let alone late March. I'm hoping the change is delayed til after 9am, we might as well break a min record.

Lol. I agree.
I hope so.
The AC is on here, but every time I head outside for whatever reason, I'm shocked at how warm and humid and sultry it is.
It needs to stay that way to break a record.
All depends on the arrival of the southerly push I suspect.

Btw, Olympic Park is currently the hottest place in NSW.

Storms closing in now, hopefully holds off til 1pm otherwise won't be able to make it to work. Though can't see that happening, it's all set to develop and move in quickly.

23C at 6am, and only heading for 26C, looking at a very small diurnal range today.
Hopefully may get some storms today, although certainly not a stormchaser per se.
Then a whole week of a Southeasterly flow.
Summer looks like coming to an abrupt end, similar to the 2015 April superstorm, but that was later in the month.

That is quite odd.

I woke up to that same warm wind blowing through the window about 2:30am. I thought it may have been from the storm line moving through since there was lightning around. But the radar archive says otherwise.
