Please post your Autumn 2017 weather images here.

I don't know how your Autumn is going Oz-wide, but I wish that my camera was waterproof. No matter where I've been this Autumn the cloud cover has been 7/8ths or heavier ... and then it rains.

My weather theme for this Autumn is called, 7/8ths or heavier. Please enjoy the greys. The camera's white level for all the images was set at 5500K.

Steep Grades Slippery Surface, midday, Bylong Valley, NSW.

The Eastern spurs of Mount McLean, early morning, Bellthorpe National Park, Queensland.

The Glasshouse Mountains, early evening, from Bald Knob, Queensland.

Mid morning, looking towards the slopes of Mount Mary Smokes, Queensland.

Midday at the Ramsar listed wetland Little Llangothlin Lagoon, high on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales.

When ever there is a coal train, it is a very dark day. The Upper Hunter Region, New South Wales.

Last Thursday, 30th March, I was NE of Dunn's Swamp, in Wollemi National Park. It was early afternoon but it might as well have been night, it was as-dark-as. The rain was hammering and I hardly had a dry stitch left. A bit of shelter from a small overhang gave me some reprieve from the rain.

While I was deciding what I'd do next, to wait or to continue on, I switched on my ipod to brighten things up. I have 902 songs on my old ipod. I still can't believe it but the first song to play was, 'I Wish It Would Rain' by Steve Harley. I'm still laughing at what was a 1 in 902 chanced selection. Obviously one of the Weather Gods was taking the pi$$.

If you don't know the song here it is ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG5QC9Z9S4M ... do play it loudly, I had to, to drown out the rain.

Warren.

Lol that's so ironic!! Nice to see your pics again Wazza, it's nice to see sunshine in that third pic.

I have a foggy photo as well:
Taken at Mt Keira above Wollongong on 21st March.

And some sunny ones on a rare clear day:
Wollongong South Beach 27th March

Of course they don't compare to your pics but it's nice to contribute to this thread anyhow.

Here are images from Lane National Park around 4:30PM on April 9. It was a sunny afternoon after a fairly cloudy, chilly day (for Sydney):

Reily aka Wave Rider, thank you Mate. I think that I would rather enjoy photographing your coastal weather.

It has been an interesting Autumn so far, crazy. Shot taken from the Cotter Road, above the confluence of the Cotter and Murrumbidgee Rivers at the Northern end of the Bullen Range, ACT.

The Blue Mountains get very foggy and misty is a South Easterly weather pattern. Sometimes that means white-out, but at other times when it's clear where you're standing you get get interesting cloudscapes with cloud/fog below and also clinging to and blowing around clifftops and hilltops.

------------

Here's one of my favoutite trees, in a front yard in Chatswood. It is always among the first to show colour in March and turns this attractive dark red colour when in full display. It's around midday on a clear, warm Good Friday, about 22 degrees.

Great to see so many autumn photos displayed. Thanks for sharing Wassa, Wave Rider, Eddy and Steve. I've held off commenting until now as I normally wait until I have a photo to share but it seems I've found myself in a drought so to speak ... I haven't scored a decent pic for months. Hope I can rectify that smile

Reilly 'Wave Rider' and Nick 'Skysthelimit' thank you for your rewarding comments. Nick I'm glad that you enjoyed the ipod story and thank you for your note.

When cyclone Debbie made landfall and then turned South, it coincided with me leaving Queensland. I drove South along the Great Divide. Incredibly, it wasn't until I had driven 1100 kilometres South and reached Boorowa in NSW before I was out of Debbie's rain influence.

There was one short time at Talooby in the NW of the Blue Mountains when the rain was clearing. It didn't last long before it started raining again. Here it was worth a shot.

A temporary halt to the rain at Talooby, NSW.

Nice one Wassa. Lovely mix of colours and good use of the road to take us into the picture. Our eyes will always follow a road or stream or fence etc smile

Nice to see good opening rainfall for the farmers throughout much of SA over the last few days. Should see things green up quickly if we can get some follow up. Theres generally fog after a good fall and this is my first fog pic for a while. The colourful sky made an otherwise boring shot a bit special smile
