With round two starting to appear well on the maps, we could be in for another 10 to 30mm, the areas who missed out would be happy to get this one.

GFS says around 20 to 30mm, OCF 17mm, EC around 10mm

Be a nice top up to what a fair few people got from the 20ths lot.

Round 2 shocked? I'd love 30mm more - but nice things like that just don't seem to happen to the western adelaide coastish areas.

Still got STW out for Adelaide. Would love to see a detailed Adelaide region warning without old bucky. Himawari-8 would make it easier that's for sure.

edit: oh, 24th-26th

Models all over the place, NW Pas, NE Pas, N Flin, Low SE will do the best btl's.

Adelaide might scrounge 10mm, hills maybe double.

Here ya go...

"Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be generally 5 to 15 mm, with less than 5 mm in the far north and western parts of the West Coast district. Falls of 15 to 40 mm are possible about the southeast, Mount Lofty Ranges, Mid North and Flinders districts, and southern parts of the Pastoral districts."

That's why I don't take them as "gospel" (quotes meaning with some caution) -- I look at them keeping the isotachs, isobars, isoheights and isotherms in mind smile .

Very nice 9.2mm to 630am this morning to go with the 21mm from the last system. Garden sure needed it. Hopefully a bit more as well, should be another 5-10mm hopefully. It's a great shame the upper trough to the south will be moving like a rocket so the full potential of the moisture capture won't be occurring. If it did capture properly and move in more slowly, we'd be seeing a 40-80mm type of event for many.

TS cool

13.5mm for the event here...very light rain most of the day but still nice none the less.

It's interesting to see how easily some of the creeks have begun to trickle again...the very wet year that was 2016 is still having an effect. Water tables have remained high throughout the summer. Often takes a solid 100mm before there's any sign of running water this time of year.

Driving back from naracoorte just north of Padthaway had 30 minutes of wipers pegged, 40 km/h driving through torrential rain, was unreal. Around 11 today IIRC

hi rossi, welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy the read,
mostly serious weather stuff but we do have a smidgen of fun
on the odd occasion providing we can dodge the toe cutters.
this one's for you. cheers
padthaway aws had the highest fall for the state for yesterday
@ 35.2mm with the majority falling between sunrise and 2pm
and the highest rate occurring as usual on the back edge of
the rainband around 1:30-2:00pm.
some of the 10 minute splits are interesting.
11:30-11:40 3.8mm
then this heavy block.....
12:10-12:20 0.0mm
12:20-12:30 3.4mm
12:30-12:40 5.4mm
12:40-12:50 0.6mm
then nothing for half an hour till the last big shower
of the day.
naracoorte and coonawarra did ok with over an inch, mt gambier
crapped out with 6.2 and RS being a bit further north would have
faired marginally better.
also allbeit heavily embedded and rapidly moving naracoorte
had a half decent thunderstorm around 1:30pm.
to round off the se summary keith got 10.8, most before the
reset. cape jaffa 8.0mm ,robe 5.6mm

still waiting for the figures from my mate near bute.
