Drizzling here in Carramar. Quite surprising but the clouds have been looking like they could let out some H20.

JUst had a clap of thunder from a mainly clear sky.
Odd.
Might get a shower from the sea.

Yeah next week looks interesting. Looks like a upper level cold pool interacting with some nice warm SST's
where the low cooks will determine the impact.
For mine, I think it will be out to sea a bit. We'll get a strong wet coolish SE airstream.

There's a little cell on the escarpment to the west of you.

Mainly clear sky at yours? Interesting since we have had mostly cloudy weather all day here.

I've been inside all day, no windows. Went in and it was sunny, came out and sunny.
I guess its 4/8...5/8

It's about 6/8 or 7/8 here but with blue sky to the east I would believe that it is sunnier nearer the coast.

The Sydney radar is showing a number of small, moderately heavy (yellow-orange) shower cells about. The Sydney forecast for tonight still says "Slight (30%) chance of a shower" although judging by the radar it looks like more.

Today was sunny earlier but fairly cloudy for much of the day (Parramatta district and North Shore), with a few spots of rain on the windscreen. It seems to have cleared somewhat here in the last hour or so.

It looks like there's no change to the pattern for the forseeable future. The latest GFS is now showing a cooler pattern after Anzac Day, but it has been flip-flopping about in its second 8 days between endless Easterlies, cold changes and a continuation of the current benign pattern, so who knows? Doesn't look like much change in the next week or so, maybe a few light showers.

Re the models.
This time of year is their worst period for % accuracy. They really struggle to model consistent outcomes.
Damn algorithums

Good observations about the prognosis Steve. I've also noticed the variability in GFS runs.

Around this district there were some decent rain totals from slow moving storms yesterday: around Mt Werong to our south and near Oberon to our north. We only scored around 1mm. Meantime, coolish days continue with rather chilly nights. We've had quite a few frosts, but nothing severe as the subzero temperatures are keeping close to ground level. Still it's chilly enough to have a fire each night.

Re Model divergence
AXS-R...most bullish. cold uppers and bombing low
GFS- cold uppers , low is pushed out to sea. stable.
EC--umm not even interested (both Deterministic and Ensembles)

Thick and eerie fog here tonight, which is a very rare event for this area.

It's mild and sunny here. Judging by the humidity levels, there was probably fog around earlier, and maybe still is in some locations around Sydney. Sydney's 'mini drought' has broken (sort of) at some locations, with 0.2mm at OH. The Airport had a quick 7.8mm around 8:30PM and a bit more since.

GFS and ACCESS are converging on a significaant cool change for the 26th after a warm ANZAC day. So does this 15 day forecast:

Sydney 10-15 Day Forecast

Following the change, there is a stepdown in temps for Sydney from the current range of 15/16 -23/24 every day to about 12/13-20/21.

NAEFS shows a cool signal for Apr 27 - May 4 for Eastern Qld and NE NSW and neutral for the rest of NSW, after being consistently warm for months NAEFS .

Edit Reason: Add NAEFS link

My partner & I got caught in it as we were walking across the tarmac to board our Virgin flight back to Adelaide.

Partly cloudy here again but a touch warmer at 24C and with a rather unusually strong seabreeze for Autumn on the coast. Plenty of blue sky over there though while we sit in the shade.

Lol it was sarcasm in regards to how uninteresting the weather is right now. poke I know that it is common and even 180 degree difference is common, eg morning westerly then afternoon E or NEer.
