OK making this post just to capture peoples weather statistics if they want to post for this event.

A significant amount of rain over the 2/3 day event fell in my region.

In my backyard gauge, Thursdays rain, reported on Friday amounted to 36.5mm and Fridays rain reported on Saturday morning came to 28mm a total of 64.5 mm

Our local AWS has reported over the same period a total of 36.8 for Friday and 30.2 for Saturday - total of 67 mm so not too bad a comparison between the AWS and my gauge.

Maximum temperatures were still above average on Thursday, 26.3 degrees and below average on Friday with a top 0f 18.1.

Our monthly rainfall is now well above the average for the month with a total of 80.2 mm reported by the AWS, against the average of 36.8. Max and min temperatures are still well above average for April, as they have been for the past few months.

It looks like the rainfall we had was a fairly localised event with other areas reporting less rain than what we had here.

Our local dairy farmers and croppers will be very happy with this latest rain.

Great to see such good falls, so timely, in much of the state!

4.5mm this AM and very nice calm day to 1650hrs when it started to rain quite heavily - by surprise as hadn't seen it coming despite being o/s all arvo'.

Had a look round and it appeared to be coming from the N/N/E to
N/E. Radar said from clouds travelling from the S/W !!!

Confused, had a look at WINDYTV and could see some air flow from N/E.

Anyway, got 2.5mm in about 1/4hr taking us to 7mm for event smile

Reached a warm, humid top of 24.2C here in Belgrave yesterday. Plenty of sunshine and very light winds, but also very bubbly convection! smile

Great day to head down to Narre Warren for shopping with the family, although the smoke was awful when we returned home.

It got very dark and gloomy to our west/southwest around 5pm as a couple of heavy showers and possible thunderstorms developed along a weak wind change just downwind of the bay. Can't confirm if we had any thunder or lightning, but aside from a weak gust front we had about 1.5 hours of heavy rainfall after 6pm. smile

Peak rainfall rate was 1.8mm/hr, with 3.2mm collected.

The temperature fell gradually from about 20C to about 16C as the showers/storms swept through.

Currently around 15C. smile

Overnight low of 13.6C, reached a warm, humid, hazy, mostly sunny top of 26.3C today here in Belgrave. Light winds, and despite the haze there wasn't too much smoke about for once! smile

Looked convective, but no showers or thunderstorms sadly. frown

Ah well, at least it was good weather for being down at Dandenong earlier this morning, and for bushwalking through Sherbrooke Forest this arvo. smile

Currently around 18C.
