Two features of Manilla's weather in April 2017 were unusual. (1). The month began cool, but got no cooler until after ANZAC Day. (2). Low temperature combined with low moisture. That is not in the usual Dorothea Mackellar cycle of hot-dry to cold-wet. This shows up well on my graph of dew point vs. daily max temp. February had been hot-humid (Interglacial type) and April became cold-arid (Glacial type).
