Glad you're loving it Donzah, although I did love the last two days!!
Today has been cool with a top temp of 20.6c with some very very light showers enough to just wet the road but not enough to register in the gauge as yet.

Looking very forward to it.

*but i'm fingers crossed for this weekend. Old aircraft have some pretty strict performance limits. The flatter the air the better.

Fairly localised heavy fall just now. Found the cooler showery day was a double edged sword. Cooler equals more comfort. But showers equals more mud. Which aint a comfort. But a bit of mud is a small price to pay for a day without sweat.

Yeah roads are wet here now so we must be getting a bit of drizzle at least.

Showers have been mostly light but around Sydney (1 to 2mm) but a few locations have had significant falls, e.g. the Airport has had 16mm and a few sites in the Sutherland area and the Northern Northern Beaches area have had 15-22mm.

Yeah so 8mms at Bellambi between 7 and 9.30pm.
Was very much a stop start affair.
Woke to a wet wintry morning with a weak sun and decent cloud.

Coffee sort of day.

Heater on.

Yeah there was some inversions going on last night.
Cooma AP can often be warmer than Cooma itself. Cooma being in the cold bowl that it is. Foggy cold spot that.
Neg 6 is a nice temp thats for sure. Be interesting to see the frost.

I reckon Perisher might have got a little downslope Foehn last night.
A good mate of mine used to be a snowmaker there for years. Was interesting hearing about the micro climates and the havoc they caused to snowmaking.

Wow at Cooma A/P.

Yep can be quite different at times to town. Town can hold a freezing forg for many hours into the day sometimes smile

Born in a hanger eh!! No wonder you love planes smile

Hope the show goes well, I must try and get there in the next year or two. One of my brothers has just moved to Nowra, might go visit smile

Mild here overnight Similar temp to Cooma airport with the minor difference that my 6 had a + in front of it grin

Yes -6 is a bit fresh, 12.9c was my overnight low. Ended up getting some solid showers late last night, 7.3mm to 9am this morning.

Very calm this morning, a little bit of sunshine here and there and also spit here and there as well, currently 18.5c.

Coolish night with showers. Loads of cloud forming now. That high over the south east is huge

Yeah Cooma town is so cold in winter, but yet it can get very warm for its elevation with wind off the Snowies. Quite an interesting place and probably the closest example we have of a continental Rocky Mtns climate in Australia, although much less variable compared to say Denver. smile

I remember camping at 3 Mile Dam last July and these tourists came as we were packing up. We told them how we camped the night and it was -6 on my weather station and they said "it was -10 the other morning where we live". They lived in Cooma. But yet it got to 9.8C at 3 Mile Dam on the previous day with high pressure and no wind.

Anyway.. pretty lacklustre cloudy day here and rather cool too. Feels a tad wintry. The sun wants to break through but it's a bit too cool and humid to break through the StratoCu.

That's serious cold, you wouldn't want to be out in it for long. But I would also experience it just out of curiosity.

Neg 10 in Australia feels worse than neg 21 in Japan or Neg 23 in Canada.
I'm not sure why. Perhaps acclimatisation.
We get a bunch of neg 5 days in Jindy in Winter. Never really gets colder. I think the lake moderates the temp alot.
