Stewed? That's almost cool, from our point of view.

More drizzle overnight for another 1mm. Stops everything drying out though and is keeping the dust down.

Not a bad drop, Scott.

Plenty of heavy showers overnight here in the city. Finished up with 34.5mm. Already well over the July average. We should start to see the sun from tomorrow grin

Just found a couple mm in my rain gauge, must've been a bit on Thursday night. Neighbours below just got back from a few days away and have 5mm.
Currently sort of "misting" "rain".

Yep it was totally unexpected guys....bit of a deluge was most welcome before we hit the dry season.....Finnish guy staying here said he didnt realize that rain like that even existed...haha...

Sure has flushed out the creeks nicely..the water is beautiful and clear this morning though they have "boil water" signs up on the highway into Tully..must have messed up the town water system..

Thats a pretty picture from the front of your house,CV..

Scott, what is with the umbrella mate? Nice video that is some serious flow of water. Thanks for the kind comments on the links. Morning started out great but clouded up. Need clear skies to help dry that ground out.

Wow came home after a weekend in Darwin to 85mm in the gauge yesterday morning, daughter said it had been a wet weekend , lol .

Everything is soggy and boggy but the grass has kicked on abit.

Like everyone else we are awaiting the nice winter weather to get out on the water..

Cheers

Out of curiosity did Darwin feel much warmer compared to where you are now Daintree? Interested to hear the comparison of conditions in two Tropical locations in Winter.

Years ago I'd spent 6 years in the NT and NW-WA, with 3 years solid in Darwin. Then moved to Innisfail in February and started freezing March/April onwards. Had to buy flanny PJs and a couple blankets.
