There's a very weak front moving through Victoria and western NSW atm, but will reach us around the early morning tomorrow only slightly lowering temps. It's mainly impacting Tasmania with snow down to 800m or so. Coastal VIC also pretty cold with low teens and strong winds. After tomorrow it looks pretty quiet in terms of cold fronts for at least the next 10 days though.

Okay maybe not weak cold front with 122km/h wind gust at Tasman Island. That's pretty frontal to me.

Morning
Great day at wings yesterday.
Yup was warm as. Though the high level cloud , then lower level scuddy pre frontal stuff cut the sun down a bit.
By the time the hornets rolled around. Was very dark.

Agreed on people undercooking this front. I always thought it would be windy. Its gusty 45kmph at Albion park at the moment. Will affect some formation flying.

Great stuff Donzah, I thought I would be close enough to hear the planes from my house but didn't hear anything. Maybe if I was downwind of the plane noise, like if it was blowing a southerly I would hear them.

You can get an insight into the depths the education sytem has sunk to by reading the weatherzone weather news. Quote 'The official cyclone season in the Pacific ended on April 31.' Unquote. Could someone please tell the imbecilic author, Natalie MacGregor, that April has 30 days for cryin out loud. And these fools presume to have superior intellect to your average Jo blo.

Good beach weather Eddy. But not for surfing. Might throw a line in later. But the old rule, 'no foam, go home' will probably apply.

Beautiful blue skies and clear sunshine here today with a moderate SWer. Certainly not warm like yesterday but still a just as good, if not better day.

Yeah much better day.
If the Hornets had flown today, I would have been down watching.
Very nice temp and humidity.

It seems to be trying to get through there Derek. Interestingly the humidity is a lot higher up there than here. We have 23% humidity and negative DP's. There's no wind either so it is really just an ideal perfect day. Could not be any better. The wind chill is rather chilly when a gust does come through though.

Very cold here already, 13.2C on my thermometer and was 14.4 just 4 mins ago. Will almost certainly be the coldest night of the year, possibly dropping below 5.

It's a beautiful night outside, with Jupiter and a nearly full Moon (waxing gibbous - 89%) next to each other in the sky. It's chilly - 10-11 over most of Sydney, headed below 10, maybe even in the OH hothouse. Got the heater out of its warm season storage, dusted it off and turned it on for the first time this season.

Yep it's a nice looking night, I guess Jupiter is the bright 'star' above the moon. It's rather fresh at 7.6C currently.

-4.4C at Canberra this morning is a bit fresh for early May! Luckily it's a bit more balmy at -3.1C at Tuggeranong.
Good excuse to stay in bed a bit longer that's for sure.

Coldest night of the year by far with 3.0C, I think that's as cold as any minimum I saw all of last winter. Albion Park dipped to 3.4.

Goulburn Ap got down to -7.5, while for Cooma Ap we don't know because it went offline. There's a chance it could've been even colder.

Airport here was about -4.1, pretty fresh for May.

Don't know what the official reading is yet, possibly a little cooler.

Very sunny of course today and looking quite nice.

That Goulburn temp is a big effort indeed.
