Low looks to be over Nelson Bay on Newcastle radar?

Nuffing Burgers anyone. Fries with that. Not a drop all day. At home or in eastern Lake Macquarie area post midday. I noticed some coral trees still with a few leaves. Normally totally bare by now.

I wish it had panned out that way but unfortunately, it wasn't to be. Those heavy showers died very quickly as they approached and we only had a few minutes of a light shower.
Still a chance of some showers tonight though.

The metro force field was strong today, apart from the northern beaches and parts of the north shore.
There was decent precipitation to the west, south, east and north of the metro, but not really much inside that circle.
The sky looked spectacular at times and had potential, but in reality it all led to very little.

Only the 1.0mm overnight in the 24 hrs to 9am.
Currently its cloudy and breezy from the SW and judging by the radars south of here it looks like it could be a fairly wet day coming up.

So what happened to all the heavy rain? Sure there were some solid isolated falls about. Was it the upper trough too slow moving to interact with the offshore trough?

EddyG,It looks like you are about to get pounded by heavy rains maybe a grumble as well but it is only just clipping you there with your area sticking out to sea more then Newcastle,us inland here it is clear and sunny.

Yes Stormy3 its been raining steadily for about 20 minutes now, not overly heavy at this stage. Yeah I reckon if I drive towards the highway it will be dry and sunny, highway being about 7ks away as the crow flies!!

Don't think I've had any rain here since early yesterday afternoon although it's been cloudy. Near Sydney, the showers have been marching North just off the coast after coming from the NE yesterday. It's been cloudy, with one or two sunny breaks yesterday aftenoon (but not today).

And throw in a bit of wind chill into as well. Heater is set to a pleasant and comfortable 32c grin

I would have to agree with that, even too much for me!!

Don't know what happened to the rain event Eddy. We had some heavy rain for a bit yesterday and last night on the coast, but skies were clear by midnight and even earlier. Today it is pleasant and mostly sunny.

Sitting out here in about 14 degree outside temp, inside about 20 - no heater on smile

Dull out here, lots of good looking large clouds about but no real look of precip - just pretentious clouds smile
