Well things kept building up and eventually there were some sparks around sundown. Some of the rain shafts would have left something in the gauge as they appeared heavy at times and they were slow moving

Haha yes I was up early and saw the fairly frequent flashes. Very surprising as there was nothing else around. I thought about going out to find it then remembered I had no petrol left. Shame as it wasn't too far from me frown

Yes a lot of mashed potato around Werner but those cauliflowers out east are now firing smile

isolated lone dog heavy shower went through at 1.30 and gave
3.omm here. pretty piss poor effort all round. better than
a slap in the face with a dusty rainguage i spose.
see if this pork tripe coming up next week can deliver something
with a bit more grunt.

The ass has fallen out of this next system already. All models downgraded it on the 00z run this arvo.

What a woeful period of weather. I sure hope the predicted Winter rains overshadow the appalling, pathetically dry Autumn.

Know any good clean jokes TH?

Q: Why is sex like a thunderstorm?
A: You never know how many inches you'll get and how long it'll last.

Q: What did the tornado say to the sports car?
A: Want to go for a spin!

Q: What falls but never hits the ground?
A: The temperature!

Q: How do hurricanes see?
A: With one eye!

talking about fog......
on the news last night 2017 darwin award goes to the braindead
bogan redneck who got arrested for trying to holdup a fog bank.

Q. what did one tornado say to the other tornado?
A. ♫ let's twist again, like we did last summer ♫.....

Q. what did the polar bear say when he was late?
A. i would have been here sooner but my iceberg hit a ship.

yer a bit of a downgrade Je but not yet like the last system
where it amounted to virtually nothing for most.
the forecast trend seems to be we are sliding into a zonal
flow for the forseeable future which indicates our 'indian
summer which has pretty much lasted 4 weeks is coming to
an end.
from what i see the initial front will be followed up by a
couple more up to sat/sun with a brief fine spell before
another front next week.
the ratio of fine weather is slowly falling away in favor
of not so fine weather and will do so even more on our
relentless slide to deep winter. it's still early in the
season and this whole teasing thing with half hearted
fronts can quite easily go on up until the end of june.
so long as there is enough rain coming through to keep
the farmers crops happy and ticking over then it's ok.
the 'banging of head against the brickwall of winter'
will be here soon enough.
were also defiantly up for a bit of a storm later tomorrow
night but it appears even gfs has taken the adelaide
forcefield factor into consideration. touch and go as to
whether we cop it or not. any storms will be through brutal
forcing of the front because anything that pokes it's head
above 12thou' will be up for getting surgically decapitated
by a feral mid-level jet.

Rainfall wise yer maybe not as much as first expected... still looking around 3-5mm I reckon for city. BUT storms look pretty likely tonight for most areas....
Get those cameras ready.

Following that it looks like a damp week, looks like a wednesday might see another 5mm, and another 5mm Thursday, and another system for the weekend.
