Saw this one from under my trees in the back-yard! Felt really straight up. Nice crack. The previous one seemed to be from over Pt Adel to Mt Lofty and the rumbling went on and on.

22mm at Cherryville.

Bloody nice cell off to the SW of Clare, almost should have headed out for it, was expecting it to die. Plenty of rumbles echoing around at the moment!

Yeah I think we had low cloud and rain in the way to the east of it, had a good view at home and didn't see a single bolt, just flashes.

Might have an opportunity coming if this whyalla cell does the same. Hopefully this time without rain ^^

A dozen nice flashes and bangs for Whyalla. Two nice showers. Smell is gorgeous.

Its been a long while since I've photographed any lightning. Cant take a trick. Today at dusk things were looking promising but as soon as the sun set everything just stopped. There were flashes to the north but I had to be home for tea. Then I started chasing to my NE before that petered out. Finally I just sat out there waiting for the rain to stop as some cells drifted across the gulf. It kept raining so I came home frown

Some nice big flashes to my NW with some rumbles. It's only a pale blue cell on both the Mildura and Sellicks Hill radars!

Some half-decent frequency of flashes to my W/NW, even saw a couple distant CGs.

Between 930 & 1030pm, there were some long rolling rumbles, one of which made the cat sit up and take notice. When I went outside at about 10pm, I saw 2 flashes, mainly embedded in rain. The first had a nice hook bolt which would have made Blackbeard envious. The second had a couple of prongs emerging from the general flash. After that, all was quiet.

Recorded 1.7mm in the gauge.

It will be very convective today with some decent showers hopefully forming, mostly South of Adelaide btl's. Slight chance of thunder also.

One hell of a foggy morning up in the Clare Valley today...by the sounds of it was quite widespread even in the Adelaide CBD?

JE - not sure I'd go with very convective. There is a front moving up from the south that should bring a few showers and cold air storms along sth coasts & ranges.
Yer Mark widespread fog throughout much of central SA. YPAD out of action for a bit.

Buckland back offline for the moment too... although by sounds of it BOM wasnt even aware WZ had access to the internal feed yesterday lol...

'Drools', Damn you make great photos, what software do ya use?

My Lone Bolt from last night, only CG I managed to snap, was a fair distance so that's why it is a bit blurred as use of the 250mm lens:

Stunning pictures there Mark. Did you wake to the fog and race to a high spot knowing you might capture something special?
