Is that too negative Eddy he he

It's a bit fresh out there tonight, but not dropping as quick as our 3 degree night. I reckon a min of 4 or 5 will be what we get.

Yeah very typical for this time of year. Next week though will be very July like IMO.

Indeed Seabreeze, it's time for both parties to move on. It's very childish actually.

The weather wlll do whatever it does.

I look forward to the return of the water dragons (3 months), daylight saving (a bit over 4 months), the Jacarandas (5 months) then the cicadas (6 months). A return to Warmth, heat and long days, short nights and thunderstorms.

In the meantime I'll enjoy the last of the Autumn trees, the clear, sunny Winter days, Winter storms while hoping loss is minimal, crisp mornings, turning on the heater, maybe log fires and driving up to the snow if it happens when I'm free to get there.

These two cold fronts coming up look very nice temp wise on GFS. But it is so not keen on precip!! Going to be cold though, first a cold front with 0 and +1C at 850hPa in the CT's on Monday morning, with -1 and -2 in the Snowies.

Then the cold air looks to stick around til the next cold front. So Wednesday morning it looks like -3 at 850hPa stretching right up to the CT's. That is some pretty decent cold.

Currently 5.9C in Maitland, 3.0C in Cessnock (where Singleton's 24 hour station is).
Closest to a frost we have had, at Singo now, but still just short. Sometimes it isnot until June Long weekend before it is cold enough- although unlike further up the Hunter (like Scone where the in-laws are) we only get a few frosts a year.

How long are you in Jindy for? I'm looking forward to your reports from down there!!

6.9c was my overnight low that was at 7.30am this morning, should easily crack 20c today.

Not sure about what you mean about Singleton's 24 hour station being in Cessnock. The two towns are 45km apart.

Frost used to be reasonably common in Bankstown in Sydney's West in the 1960's. When I worked in Parramatta in the 1990s I would see the occasional light dusting of frost in the early morning, in or near Parramatta Park. I once saw frost at and near Artarmon oval on a particularly cold morning in the early 80s but not since then.

Frost now seems to be pretty uncommon in Sydney these days except in the Nepean - Hawkesbury valley.

I am more impressed with the cold uppers. -32 degrees 500mb heights for the second node. Only -26 degrees 500mb heights for the first node.

I like your way of thinking!!
Just over three weeks to the shortest day of the year and then its all downhill to Summer laugh

Warming up nicely outside, just the lightest westerly breeze out there.
