Eddy - more rubbish photos a few pages back!!! Bloody box brownie grin Beautiful colours mate smile

Don't know what happened to Greg - just went quiet as some do.

DONZAH - blast from the past - GASP, LAPS, MRF etc - wow had basically forgotten those names. I remember when Steve Waugh? had MRF on his bat smile

Weirdly mild out here overnight, a min of about +1

Sunny overhead BUT a ring of low cloud on the high ground all around us. Everything was super wet this morning, I can't work out whether it was a VERY heavy dew or a decent shower. Must have been a shower.

Can't see much precip around here for snow to form today.

Next week has that REALLY solid wandering cold pool - hope it wanders over us. smile

Homey - cheers smile Also loving the fact that donzah & Snowy Hibbo are in here, gets the thought processes going again after getting lazy the last couple of years smile

glass half full smile

D - good news re Jindy, Homer, Kalkite trip must be due soon grin

Scratch the comment re Blue skies, just came over all cloudy from the south - happened quite quickly.

Lost my sunshine through the window and it suddenly feels quite cool in the office.

At least it's weather smile

Thanks DaveM, glad you enjoyed them.

Fresh breezy wind blowing here this morning, so far its keeping all that convection offshore atm, all though its ever so slightly creeping closer.

It has chilled quite rapidly in the last 20 minutes - not so much shown on the thermometer but the wind and loss of sun.

Despite what I said earlier re little precip - this type of low cloud WILL likely cause some (quite) light flakeage on the higher points here today. No substance in amount but cold enough. It has suddenly gained the appearance of winter. Oberon will be cold today.

BOM at airport is actual 5 degrees but apparent temp of -0.5 - I will take that as representative of how it feels outside for sure.

Felt MUCH milder an hour ago. smile

Eddy - every time you post a photo just assume I said I loved them grin Might just say DITTO grin

I might just post another one for you DaveM.

Currently 13.3c, doesn't really feel that cold especially when the air con is set at 27c.
Looking at the latest radar image, I don't think it will be long before I see some precip.

Was a bitter morning walking the kids to school. Cold and inky sky. Little bit of sun about now, but not warming up.

Just checked Orange - it had WARMED slightly to just under 3 degrees at about 8.30, now going down and is a bees dick above 2 degrees at the moment. Mt Boyce (Blackheath) is about 4.

That cloud over looks like a shortish band of cloud. The Sunny corner tops have a "cape" at the highest parts.

Donzah smile Do you have an internal switch that you click re temps of Coast vs Jindy? smile "Bitter morning" at Woonona & Jindy may vary just a tad smile

Eddy - stop torturing me with HORRID photos!!! smile

Been a mild, mostly sunny morning here, with the wind making it feel cooler than it actually is. Cloud rolled in during the small hours, keeping it warmer ovenight, then cleared around sunrise. There's a lot of cloud to the East.

Nice effort getting the cardboard cows smile

Actually not a scene I associate with NSW - cattle next to salt water. However that sort of "rural" shot is quite common in Tassie smile Especially the east and north coasts of Tassie.

You always seem to put a lot of thought into the composition. As a former Fletchers Fotographics store owner, I salute you smile

I have no problem physically walking that, it's all mental.. ie, if it is cold for a wuss like me. grin Btw, 25 min walk, not sure where you got the 18 from. smile

It's quite cold here today, about 14. I actually think it will reach 15 at Albion Park as SW winds descend from the escarpment there, making it a bit warmer than elsewhere. I reckon Bellambi will struggle to get past 14 though. No showers on the horizon though, it's a too SWly for showers. Maybe some will clip southern Sydney and Port Stephens as they are exposed. Whatever happens though, winter has come a day early for my part of the world. Some may disagree but I feel like 14C at 12pm is genuine wintery conditions.

Doesn't even seem like there's precip in the far south around Bombala etc and way too warm anyway. Very cold at Thredbo Top Stn, -5C but no snow atm. Bit of a useless cold change this one but it's still very early in the season so no surprises there.

Thanks DaveM.

Well it got a lot warmer than what I thought it would currently 16.0c.

Been at the beach watching these storms roll past and there is some nice contrast between the ocean and the storms offshore, heard the odd rumble but that's been about it.

What a waste. All out to sea. Enjoyed the cold with some fresh wind this morning. Made for cold hands. Cold metal. Cold nose. All of which have their charms.

Still cool and fresh in western Newie. Much more sun now Might nudge 17 or so later

Yes the radar shows those showers off shore. Seems to happen a lot up that way. Bit like me watching showers passing by on the high ground but missing us smile

Still around 7 - 8 degrees here, wind decidedly fresh. smile

25 minutes!!! come on RP, do the walk, leave the headphones out. FEEEEELLL the cold air on your face, listen to the sounds around you, watch the clouds move by and the trees move - get into it, you will love it!! smile

When in Hobart my wifey & I walked 30 minutes from our car to work and did the reverse in the arvo - every day grin Do it when you can, you never know when the day comes when you can't. smile Even though we were tired from standing up in a retail shop all day, we still enjoyed the walk, a time to chat about miscellaneous stuff and to notice the world around us.

Did not enjoy sudden showers however grin

Walking, done s...loads over the years, would hate to think how many Ks I've walked over the years!!

Now its starting to look like winter outside, starting to rain, wind picking up in intensity, watching storms on youtube, just nearly a perfect afternoon to be indoors!!

Good advice Dave, yeah I've been doing that walk to and from the train station a fair bit lately and I've noticed it gives me time to really think and process stuff. When I drive I don't think as deeply because there's so much to concentrate on. I actually never have headphones in when I'm walking, because I like all my senses to be active. I need to get active again, I've been a bit lazy since I got my P's.

Lol Eddy nothing wrong with that.

Funny I don't notice it too much. The body gets used to cold weather pretty fast. After all you just have to put a jumper on. Last year was one occasion though I was a bit caught out.

Drove down from Woonona mid morning . Sunny till Cooma. Coming out of Cooma towards the 80 zone as you crest the rise , the mountains come into view. Usually. The sky is huge down there.....This time it was as black as black over the Alps. Purple, dark ink. Contrasted by the waving light wheat coloured grass. I wish I had a SLR and Eddy's skills. It reached its apex at the airport. TThe sky was divided in two.
Driving on and soft rain become heavy....then soft hail..... garupel ..wind . Over Varneys range and snow started to fall. Continued off and on until Jindy.
I thought....oh i'll wander into woolies and get some dinner stuff. Arrive in Jindy to a full Blizzard .Hammering down -1 and sticking. I'm in trainers , jeans and a tee.

Yeah nah...not getting out of the car.

However once I got to my place. Changed into boots, big jacket beanie and gloves. I was sweet outside. I love foul weather.

Today was foul on the bike. 25kms of wind and cold. Felt like 50. Full winter get up.

I'm looking forward to what this winter will bring. The longrange charts on pro a show the continent of Australia cool for the forseeable future. Crazy dynamic weather is heading our way.
