Looks like the cloud cleared late evening around Sydney, but W-SW winds, barrelling away at 15 knots near the coast, took the edge off the cold, while making it feel colder. At 7:00AM OH was at what Dave would call a balmy 8.1, but the wind chill brought the apparent temperature down to 0.2.

-------

Looks like this event is finished.

The models look more closely aligned this morning, agreeing on the 'Eastern' scenario for the upcoming event, with a strong cold front sweeping across Eastern NSW next Tuesday, spinning up an ECL.

I think , looking at the ensembles that the "event" may have a few dates . More cold air pulsing after.
Though I agree when the tasman low happens. Its curtains.

Well the cloud hasn't cleared here as yet, pretty cold too considering all the shower activity during the night.
I've open the June rain account with a solid 30.9mm, I didn't see that much rain coming.

Anyway off to work I go!!

A damned good frost out here this morning. Have to wait for the "official" but I suspect it might be closer to -6 than -5. No fog today only frost.

Eddy - amazed at your rain smile

Steve - wind (& sun exposure) makes ALL the difference to how the temp feels big time smile

We have cold temps out here BUT mostly sunny and usually little or no breeze - the diff is amazing smile

Eddy can keep his foul photos to himself!!! And that doesn't mean a photo of chooks!!!!! shocked
