Very unreal this time of winter, High pressure should be doing it by spring time and all fronts are pushed far south of ocean.

Well lucky we had more sunshine and enjoy outdoor and we all hate get out bed early in morning by frost and no rainy days yet.

Seen this happen somewhere else recently, rain !!, we don't get rain lol grin

Mind you, the home projects are being churned out like a thrashing machine here..........terrific weather for outdoor painting and fixing base boards to a bungalow grin

Should mention here, nearly halfway thru' year and rain = 141mm, that's a bit on the dry side.

From WZ -

The hemispheric long wave pattern has been relatively fast moving in recent weeks. There are five main troughs. Currently the most significant troughs are near the longitudes of South Africa, Western Australia, the south Pacific, the southeast Pacific, and the Atlantic Ocean.
Summary:
Over southern and eastern Australia the cold front events with potential to bring widespread rain are now expected about 21 June to 25 June, 27 June to 1 July, and 6 July to 10 July. Rain events originating in the tropics and moving south are possible about 28 June to 2 July.
Over Western Australia the strongest cold fronts should occur about 4 July to 8 July, 8 July to 12 July, and 12 July to 16 July.

Issued Jun 15

A good model to see the "long wave patterns" is -

Agree re WindyTV Samboz.

A frost free start preceeded another day light altostratus (anticyclonic gloom) and another 15C max, baro has eased from 1030 hPa 2 days ago, to 1025 hPa at present.

Been watching weather pattern by satellite of Indian Ocean of South Africa to New Zealand and Antarctica.

Looks like strong polar belt wave strength move more NE out off East Africa ... So got another week to see.

No "weather" to report here today, after a light frost, we actually felt warm in the calm sunshine early arvo - reached 17.6C by my gauge.

The system that fooled GFS (IMHO) into a southerly dig for today is the ECL winding up off Sydney atm.

....when will it rain for us Vic's???? - this unreliable Tiro can only see a change looming 7 days out for this time next weekend?? - if anyone agrees, please start a thread! smile

I've given up on "Clayton Threads" P, (blush) it was warm here outside after lunch, don't doubt close to 18C.

We're on approx 50% of last years rainfall, glad we lightened of the Dorper numbers.

First time I can recall being able to burn old stumps/wood piles at Royal Maffra in late June!

Sub 16C max here today, despite a non-frosty start.
