How good has Perth's run of weather been so far in June?! 21C has been the lowest max, average maximum 23.4C before adding today's 24.6C.

http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/dwo/201706/html/IDCJDW6111.201706.shtml

It stays equally good for the next week. This is quite a contrast to last winter which was cold and wet.

Perth is tracking 7.8 - 23.5 compared with the June average for the current site of 8.6 - 19.4. Further, it's had no rain at all, in what is normally its wet season.

------

Sydney is tracking a little warmer than the June average, especially for minima at inland locations - no doubt because of cloud and high humidity. OH is actually only a little above the average for recent decades. Averages for June so far (1st - 13th):

Code:
OH 10.3 - 18.3 9.8 - 18.0 (1981-2010 average)
Bankstown 8.3 - 18.2 6.7 - 17.8 (1968-2016)
Richmond 6.9 - 18.1 5.2 - 18.0 (1993-2016)

Next week looks to be mild, cloudy and damp, although heavy rain for later this week seems to have been wound back. OH is now only expecting 7 - 23 mm over the next 7 days. Temps are expected to be stuck on 12-19 (+/-) at OH, about 9 - 19 inland.

Cool changes that were on the cards for early next week seem to have been cancelled. A 'Berlin Wall' of high pressure across the Southern Tasman won't let Tasman lows escape into the Southern Ocean where they belong, while cold fronts can't penetrate Northwards.

Never had Cascade before, I should try it. I love Boags but it's so expensive though!!

Yeah Eddy I'd burn Dave's firewood pretty quickly too!!

No weather post from me today because there is none.

Yep Eddy that's what it looks like and yet again there's plenty of it down here. poke Heard the radio earlier say that it was 18C, I thought surely not and so I checked and it is in fact only 18C. I could've sworn it's like 21 or 22C it feels so warm after a cold cloudy morning.

Yeah bit of high cloud Dave, I think it made for a rather nice backdrop. smile

The elongation and development of a large high SW of perth is a good sign.

We have more condensation than a Turkish bath.

Its a very foggy season. All that moisture blown into the interior , capped by some cool upper levels.

The fog on Monday on the Monaro was something else.

I'm used to seeing fog , 3 degrees at 9am, not so much at 12.20pm
