Still full fog here - only half your temp though Homey grin

This fog may take a bit of clearing today - might be here for a while yet.

grin Donzah grin great line!!

Cooma specifically can have horrific fogs. Caught me out several times when I lived in Adaminaby. Several times I left there in lovely sunshine to freeze to death in a seriously cold n thick Cooma fog well into the day grin

Clearly still foggy in western Sydney with 11C and near 100% hunidity at Penrith and Richmond. Meanwhile here near the coast it's up at 17C already.

http://centralwestflying.com/web-cam/

Won't be much flying today!!

Would be interesting if the fog didn't lift today.

Yes Reilly - similar here with us 5 degrees and Orange 10. Orange obviously not in fog but that's pretty common - we get significantly more fog here in the valley than Orange on a plateau. smile

Yep mate - the web cam says it all smile

Every now and then (but quite rare) we do have a day where it never really lifts, it may give vis to about 400 or so metres but never fully clear.

Actually as I type, light levels from above just seem to have increased ever so slightly - maybe signs of breaking down.

Yeah I noticed that Dave but interestingly it's still 99% humidity at Orange. Have you ever had fogs last all day in Bathurst?

Interesting, they must be really cold days when that happens. Btw you are colder than Thredbo Top Station, by 0.1C. grin

Yep they are indeed the cold days of our winter - very rare though. Some years it may happen 2 or 3 times but we may go years without it happening.

I can't remember the last FULL day of fog really (probably my rubbish memory really smile )

Vis slowly increased now to about 200 or 300m, however - darker overhead again.

It may end up being a day where vis never exceeds say 1km, becomes a "mist" I suppose.

If it gets windy it will dissipate.

Fog has lifted like a shelf just above the ground now but still on higher parts of town. Solid cover overhead and still very dull. Vis at ground level a couple km in one directions but less than 1k in others, down to 400 in another direction. All depends on the topography in whatever direction.

Was certainly a foggy morning in western Sydney, This was taken from the Richmond Lowlands. Nice high cloud above us now, hopefully we will get a red sky before my long drive home on the Weekend.

No fog here, calm and mostly cloudy. Rainfall up to 9am this morning was just 2.6mm.

Newy radar looks to showing some false echoes again.

Pleasant out here now - temps uncertain - obs down at airport.

Orange is 14, Mudgee is 18 so we likely in between.

No fog here, but it must have been extensive in the Western suburbs (nice picture Gleno) where humid was up around 98-100% this morning. The fog also shows up on the visible radar, especially the close up view in 'layers', where it takes on a sinewy appearance where it fills valley.

It's been fine and partly cloudy here, with a mixture of high and mid level cloud. A bit warm for this time of year, with top temps around 20 in most suburbs, nearly 22 at the Airport.

Interestingly it's 11.8C there at 2:40 on WZ app, must still be in the inversion to an extent.

Topped out at 11.0C here in the Valley, I think that is the coolest max for the year so far. Some parts still foggy here,
some high cloud has been revealed not the best for generating solar today.
Teddy

Edit Actually had a top of 10.1C on 25/5, so Yes second coolest for the year today.
