Grey old day coming up, some very light drizzle overnight enough to just wet the ground but not enough to register in the gauge.

Heater will be going today!!

Mild overnight here, about 3.8 at airport.

Orange about zero.

Here now about 7, solid overcast, no precip, we might get a spit or two during the day but not sure. Looks like light shower activity up around the Dubbo/Wee Waa and across to Murrurundi sort of region. Heading towards Merriwa. Probably pretty light precip.

The Sun's out here after a mild, cloudy night. Today's minimum will be whatever it was at 9:00 for most of Sydney.

According to the Satpic, we're under a gap in the cloud/ The overcast will be back soon.

Look to be showers on the NW Slopes and Plains, mostly light but reasonably heavy near Boggabri and Tamworth (yellow patches).

Yes Steve, seems to be centred up there for sure.

Currently some super light precip here - can only just feel it. Will not be noticed by the rain gauge I suspect without increasing in substance.

Reports of light rain out Molong/Cargo way at the moment too.

There's a trough up in the north of the state and that's probably enough to trigger than light rain from mid level cloud. I think without that there would be no rain anywhere.

Newcastle radar filling in nicely, will be interesting to see how much of it will actually make landfall?

Just had a drive around town and all the waterways are a millpond atm very calm!!

Yup just a light offshore at the beach.

Was sunny at start of ride, then went back to inky sky.

Slightly damp road here, drops fairly sparsely placed.

An aside re this coming weekend's cold nights. I had a look at Meteye for Friday evening and it has WIDESPREAD FROST by about 7pm on Friday.

Been a while since I've seen frost that early smile

Yeah it's actually raining here as well. So so light that I didn't even know while I was outside. Only knew from driving just earlier. smile

I was surprised to see steady light rain after leaving Chatswood Westfield. Looks like there's more on the way. Before noon it was shaping up to be a rerun of yesterday - calm, overcast and chilly.

About 13 degrees over most of Sydney, 12 in the outer West.

We've had about 2 hrs now of light rain with occasionally heavier spells, like now. Probably about 2 mm's all up.
Quite dull and definitely feeling cold.
Just 11.4 here atm.

Top of 12 today so far in Richmond and Penrith. Another 14 at Obs Hill for a max. Two 14's in a row at Obs would not be common I don't think. Would've been a few years since that happened I reckon.

Yeah my thoughts as well

Its a cold inky sky out there.

Light rain falling. 14..15 ish degrees depending on the sun. Reminds me of New Zealand weather.

Yep chasing some warmth in QLD!
Sunny and 25C at Boggabilla (love that name) if it had heavy rain earlier there is no evidence of it now

There were 3 sub-15s in a row in July 2015. Last time there were more than three was in 1982. Longest run since the 1917 site move is 12 (at the pre-1917 site, there were several runs of 20 days or more).
