Here are my June 2017 observations, mainly temperature and rainfall. Note these are at my house in Belgrave in Melbourne's southeast, near the Dandenong Ranges. smile

Please note these do not include any missing observations during the Queens Birthday Long Weekend when I was away in Corryong, Northeast Victoria.

Average temperature: 11.2C
Average maximum temperature: 15.5C
Average minimum temperature: 6.8C
Total rainfall: 33.7mm

Lowest minimum temperature: 3.7C (June 8th)
Highest maximum temperature: 20.0C (June 16th)
Lowest maximum temperature: 11.0C (June 26th)
Highest minimum temperature: 9.9C (June 15th)

Highest daily rainfall: 6.3mm (June 6th, June 9th & June 24th)
Highest rainfall rate: 15.7mm/hr (June 8th)
Highest wind gust: NA

Lowest wind chill reading: NA
Highest heat index reading: NA

Number of rain days: 10 days

Rainfall: 6.6mm ( equal second-lowest on record )
Min average: 5.9c
Max average: 13.9c ( fourth highest on record )
Mean anomaly: +1.1c above 1961-90 and 1981-10 averages.

Local snow: Light settled fall to 400-500m on 24th and 30th.

At Manilla, NSW, weather in June 2017 was normal but moist. It was not at all like the cold, cloudy and extremely wet June last year, but very like the two Junes before that.

From the set of six graphs that I draw to track the climate through the last three years, I have copied one to the " Climate driver " thread. For two years there has been a humidity/temperature cycle with a twelve-month period distorting the seasonal cycle.

June 2017 Rainfall at South West Rocks:

(Note: 24 hour rainfall, for example, on June 4th = Rainfall from 9am June 4th to 9am June 5th)

- 241.4mm fell during June, which was above average. Rainfall was 101.5mm above the June average (June Avg. 139.9mm), or 172.55% of the June average.
- There were 20 raindays during June (Jun Avg. 10.5 raindays). This was the highest number of raindays in June since 21 raindays during June 1967.
- The 14 consecutive days of rainfall from the 6th to the 19th, made it the equal fourth longest wet spell during Winter on record (since 1939).
- The wettest daily fall of rain was on the 10th, when 57.4mm fell.
