I'm going to keep the weekends one separate as it is a completely separate system.

Finally some good rains are on the way with the coastal areas benefiting the best of totals but inland it reduces so our farmers wont get as much as forecasted for the coast but should see 10-20mm location depending.

A trough ahead of a cold front with a cold pool behind will bring north to north-westerly winds at 20-40km/h to the central areas with up to 50km/h on the EP and West coast with gusts to 85km/h likely as of late Sunday and should be felt in the Central districts by early morning. The front will move through around sunrise then to leave the cold pool behind where there will be some heavy showers with some possible hail and I'll also add possible thunder associated with hail showers.

After this first system, the state will receive a series of fronts throughout the week bringing showers and west to northwesterly winds with it.

EC gives the highest rainfall for Adelaide at 105mm by Sunday
GFS - up to 60mm
OCF - 38mm Kent Town

BOM going 10-30mm across central areas, local falls of 30-60mm in the Mt Lofty Ranges

I myself will go 25-40mm for my place. But finally some interesting weather to come over the next week.

Yer I think the charts forgot about orographic lift playing a part in this leading to less rainfall, very rare Adelaide would get more than Lofty

Hope for a 100 mm, and hope it doesn't fall in less than a day.

Heavy rain!! here for the first time this winter with howling wind, it's been too long!

The lee waves off the Mount Lofty Ranges today in this strong westerly flow have been impressive. Earlier today was getting to that point where branches can start falling, 83km max gust at Snowtown.

Presuming the cold air pushing up isn't cold enough for any dusting to occur. Snow level in vic seems to be +1000, so i guess too high

I wish Mt Lofty was more lofty, another 2km or so would suffice.

Main band of showers going to the south unfort, just leaving the scraps for us atm. Need the stream to ten more from the SW then we'll cop it. Doesn't look like happening at this stage 😖

I'd be concentrating on Friday now, looking very wet indeed!
