Was a bit surprised over that forecast. OCF has 6.6 for Obs hill on Sat morning so BoM's one should upgrade to about 6C by tomorrow you would think (as has happened a few times this winter)

I hate Brown mt. Well my brakes do.
Soon to farewell winter in these parts during the day. To borrow a line from old Bob Menzies, who borrowed it from Tommy Ford: ''I did but see her passing by. And yet I love her till I die."
Weatherzone news reckons the NSW July record max temp of 31.8 could see a shake sonewhere in the state next week. 1958 record.

Whilst all that heat was raging the Snowies went on to have a very good depth after a below average July. Same in 1990 when Sydney got its July max record. I hope I am wrong about my 110cm season prediction.I will eat lashings of humble pie.

That'll be my next step Knot.

Yeah CS22, I will persist.Keep annoying them until they say yes laugh
But in all honesty, just goes to show how tough it is to get in. You can have all the passion in the world, but it's the experience that most employers are after. Not always the case, but generally. That's how the world works I suppose, a big never-ending learning process.

Maybe doing a week of work experience would help? Hope you get what you want eventually.

Yes that sneaky cold pool was quite effective in the south. It's stable for anything much further north though.

Oooops better get back to the weather - little rain front moving up the coast wink

This is VERY wishful thinking but maybe there could be a few flakes at Robertson if that rain band moves up that way. The air is coldish but more importantly it's rather dry so flakes can happen at a higher temp.

Take the drive there and have looksy!!

Wind has died to nothing here.

Edit - Wind did die down to nothing, has picked up and blowing quite moderately.

Yeah I was thinking of that if it does hold. I can get to Robbo in half an hour on a good run up Macquarie Pass when I'm not stuck behind anyone.

Still got plenty of wind here, been windy all day. Feels like winter in the Gong!!

Macquarie Pass in the dark - I wouldn't fancy that.

It's a clear, moonless night. It feels very cold outside now. It's probably about 12, but that wind cuts right through.

I don't mind it at night, but it's a bit sketchy. It's one of my favourite stretches of road during the day, fastest I've gone down was in 7 minutes!!

Anyway it's still rather windy but wow it's bloody cold. Real wintry chill tonight. I have to laugh at BoM's forecast minimum though, 4C. Last night was the same, and the night before was predicted to be 5. They were 10 and 12 respectively. Sure we have had some pretty cold nights, but no matter how cold the previous nights were, if there's wind it will not be cold!! Geez get your [censored] together BoM.

There was light flakeage up around Sunny Corner/Yetholme last night.

I was back playing tennis and it turned drizzly and bloody cool and windy for a while.

Around 9 to 9.30 last night it suddenly came up very windy, chilled rapidly and began to lightly shower on us. It certainly felt like it was VERY close to snow on us. Temp dropped to about 3 at that time (dropped several degrees in minutes) - wind chill was ferocious smile

I had been warm at tennis till that little passage of weather and everyone cooled very quickly.

Of course being the first night back at tennis after a few weeks off - it was a bit of a rude night to be out - grin

We had fun though grin

Strange old day. Cloud keeps coming and going. Walk along beach from Blue Bay round to Toowoon. No one sunbathing he he. Not even in front of fancy pants Kims resort (wonder if Big Lips is hangin out in there). Wind real cold.
