Why no thread? smile

Still hovering around 5c here, when was forecast to be 2c now. Any snow looks unlikely for my part of Orange unless we see some decent temp drops.

As I type, just had a few drops of pea sized hail which stopped soon after.

Some dark clouds to the south and west here in Dubbo, I can see a rainbow to the west and there was a very light shower just then when driving to work. Also quite windy and biting cold, so I'm guessing this will be moving over the higher ground to the east

VERY mild overnight here in Bathurst.

Some quick showers earlier this morning.

It LOOKS better now than earlier in the sky around here.

Sadly it seems that the system may not be as good around here as it looked late last week. Anyhow - see what comes, hopefully some light snow in Orange would be nice.

Some reports already of light snow showers around Oberon.

Have to wait n see what comes of it smile

Still hovering around 4c here. There's some nice light showers falling now that would make for excellent snow if it was a little colder. That real light but consistent fall type stuff.

Certainly looks VERY snowy on the cams smile

DavidM - I notice the temps further SW of us (Wagga etc) are cooler than Bx, especially Young. That should hopefully mean it should continue to cool as the day wears on.

Temp dropping here - it has every appearance of a snowy day for around here.

Some very light showers on the high ground to my west. Top of Canobolas MIGHT be getting a couple of flakes at times.

Very cold in the wind.

Another mild, sunny day in Sydney, with some scattered cloud about and a bit windy. The wind is making it feel cooler than it is.

Hard to see any sign of the passage of a front through the state. The 4:00 synoptic chart shows a cold front across central NSW heading East at about 30 knots, but there's no obvious sign of its progress. Oragne has been stuck on 4 all morning, Bathurst around 8. Riverina centres are cold, around 8-10. There are no obvious temperature drops or wind changes, but on the other hand not much warming.

Blowing off it's head off here on Chatswood and at home in LC. In fact I just recorded my strongest wind since installing my Vantage Pro2 in May!

About 10 degrees here at the moment, up to around 6.5 in Orange.

Cloud pic shows a bit of a line running ESE to WNW, approaching Wagga and extending WNW from there.

I reckon that small line prob marks the next "front" which is due here this evening smile

Buried just below that line is a clump or two of cloud that just might have a small amount of precip to drop as (if) it comes over later this evening.

Yeah Crookwell would be getting something half decent for sure, as well as southern parts of the CT's like Porters Retreat.

A few cold raindrops in Katoomba but no snow. Maybe when that little blob hits Blackheath there might be something.

It's so nearly snowing! the rain is icy, and if it were snow, there is enough falling to settle nicely. I think Blackheath might get a nice dusting.

Good luck Sou, hope you get something.

Reports of snow on the ground at Oberon, and I reckon there'd a couple of cm out Porters Retreat way.

Thanks WR, I don't think it's going to happen in Katoomba, but I always enjoy seeing pictures from the plateau after a bit of snow, and it's just nice to have some proper winter weather happening around the place!

Temperature at Mount Boyce dropped 2.5 degrees between 8:00 and 8:30 after hovering around 4 to 6 all day. The temp at 1000 metres is about 2 degrees, just on the margin for snow. It might settle above 1100 metres?

Temp is just a little too high here, after a bit of nice rain. 4.3mm through the day, but temp hovered around 5c for most of it. Finally dropping now, but looks like all the precipitation has buggered off east.

3.2c now, so if we were to get another shower or two there's a chance it might fall as flakes, but near 0 chance of waking up to anything settled.

That 4.3mm would be looking good out Oberon way, should be some nice cover there.
