My wife is from North Entrance.

I lived there for several years as well, much of my family live or lived there too. We visit a few times a year.

I have a weird brain that remembers specific things/shapes for decades and I can very often place things on little info. Shame I can't make money out of it smile Useless at everything else smile

Wow it looks even better as a bigger size. I can honestly say that is the nicest photo I have seen this year. And absolutely my favourite photo from you. There is something truly special about this shot.

I totally agree with Dave, it would look so good on a wall!! smile

PS: Just realised that we can't see any of STL or Warren's pics any more. frown That is just disgraceful what Photobucket have done. I'm just thankful I never used it but we have literally lost years of photos now. frown

I'll join the chorus Eddy and compliment you on a lovely pic. You can always tell a good pic by the amount of time you spend looking at it smile

Regarding Photobucket. I agree Wave Rider its disgraceful and I think I'm in a state of shock. I don't have that sort of money laying around. Don't know what to do now. Count my losses and try a new start elsewhere. Pity they didn't give us a months grace to retrieve our photos first! frown

Thanks STL

As for photobucket I stopped using it a couple of years ago, I was losing too much detail in my images, photos were coming out flat looking and not sharp at all, I started using Flickr and haven't looked backed.
Anyhow I probably lost about 500 photos, fortunately for me I have them somewhere on an old computer!!

They quietly introduced a $399 per year charge on third party hosting as of the 20th June, which is why you see the notices on Eddy's and STL's signatures.

So if you want to share any images on another site it costs $400 smackers? Bit Rude.

Where the sand meets the trees or is that where the trees meets the sand?

I agree Eddy, perfect day to check out the beach and I did too. Love the second pic and the tops of the trees blowing from the wind looks cool as well.

Thank you Eddie for your locality's Winter images. Winter where you are looks glorious ... as opposed to being here.

I'm still waiting for my camera to thaw out before I post.

Cheers Mate.

Warren.

PS, It snowed a few days ago on the high ranges of the ACT and the snow is still there. It looks really cool.

Nice to hear from you Wassa. I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you. I hope you can get out in the elements again soon. I wish we'd get some snow. Its the one subject that continues to elude my camera and I.
Thanks Eddy for your pictures. You've been somewhat of a lone hand on this thread of late.
My first pic is of something I spotted a fortnight or so ago. Looking straight up I saw whist appeared to be an upside down rainbow. In the picture the sun is actually below the 'arc' unlike a halo. I had intended to quiz everyone to see if anyone could tell me what it was exactly but then I watched a tv documentary and they covered , amongst other things, CIRCUMZENITHAL ARCs, which is what this is of course. Now we're all in the know.
The second pic is a scene taken from the dry weather road which leads into our neighbouring town of Georgetown. I know the person who lives there is a regular reader of the forums so I thought he might get a surprise when he sees it smile
