Hello Folks:
Here's previous weeks' weather in Mena, Arkansas:

DATE......HIGH.........LOW.........RAIN
Sep..3..88F/31.1C..64F/17.7C..---
.......4..90F/32.2C..67F/19.4C..---
.......5..81F/27.2C..58F/14.4C..---
.......6..75F/23.8C..51F/10.5C..---
.......7..80F/26.6C.*48F/8.8C...---
.......8..83F/28.3C..49F/9.4C...---
.......9..85F/29.4C..53F/11.6C..---

*=This Tied the Rec. Low Min. for Date (set in 1988)

For the week of Sep. 3-9: Mena's Avg. Max.: 85.1F/29.5C; Avg. Min.: 62.2F/16.7C

This completely dry late Summer week featured some good warmth, but also some cooler-feeling days (& mornings) as well. A--dry in my area--Canadian cold front passed through on the 5th. That cold front really lowered the humidity levels and made for some good daily temperature spreads. These cooler readings made it hard to believe that we still have nearly 2 weeks left of Summer. IMO, it seems the seasons here this year are about around a month or so ahead of schedule.
The minimum on the 8th was only 1F above the Record Low Maximum for the Date.
Overall Low--around 11:35PM--listed for the 5th.
Forecast for upcoming week calls for very poor rainchances & the tops getting warmer as the week progresses (possibly 90F+/32.2C+).
Still unsure if the steering winds will push the remnants of ex-Hurricane Irma in my direction (to the West).

For the week of Sep. 10-16: Mena's Avg. Max.: 83.1F/28.3C; Avg. Min.: 60.2F/15.6C

This last full week of Summer--Autumn/Fall officially arrives here in the NH on the 22nd--featured fairly variable temperatures and continued dry conditions (as of today--the 18th--I've recorded no measureable rain here this month & none for 26 straight days). Needless to say, the area lawns are looking quite parched & fairly brown-colored in places.
The upper steering winds blew the remnants of ex-Hurricane/Tropical Storm/Tropical Depression Irma over my area on the 12th. Very light rain just missed me, the more widespread & heavier rain was to my E & SE. The thicker cloudcover and cool NE winds made it a very chilly late-Summer day (never thought I'd have to wear a heavy long-sleeved shirt in late-Summer!).
I like to keep up with the 1st time I see this (as per the US Daily Weather Feature map): On the 14th, there was an area of expected Rain/Snow mix in the US & Canada Rocky Mountains. On the 15th, there was a rather small area of expected Snow in the southwestern mountains of Montana (I guess it's getting to be that time of year). Our decreasing daylight is very noticeable: currently, sunset here is at 7:20PM.
Forecast for upcoming week calls for more Summerlike warmth (tops of 90F+/32.2C+) and humid minimums with the best rainchances (30%) for Thursday & Saturday.
