Not sure that's likely to happen, with the S.E. Trades blowing about 8 or 9 months out of 12.
Over a 75 year period the Sth/S.Easters take up about 77% of the year.

These measurements are at Cns Aero, so add about 30% for the reef.

What a gorgeous day in Mission Beach today. Water like glass. Long line of boats out to the reef. Great weather for wetting a line.

No Scott. Had too much on with finalising things at the house.

The father in law went out to Britomart from Lucinda this morning, a few trout. Standing room only he said.

Tractors and trailers right along the esplanade at South Mission, I could imagine Clump point😬

😝😝

Still 34 inside and out. It's cooler than it was earlier. Reckon it would've been *at least* 36.

Was the warmest August day I have recorded since being in Mareeba. Actually, it was the warmest August day since being in FNQ. Hard to believe there will be an 6c drop in todays max.

The little splashes of green that remained have turned brown in the last 2 days.

14.4C right now as the sun pops up over the hill.
Completely clear sunrises lately, not a cloud in sight anywhere.

It was around 19 at midnight, that's usual at the moment.

Looks like a volcano.

Humidity down to 13%, uuugghhh.... Horrible. Everything is brittle dry, including me.
I think I spoke too soon about the whirlwinds, I thought we'd missed that horrible part of the season, but looks like it's yet to come. I must remember when I hear the lovely tinkling of leaves, to rush and close every window and door, not sit there enjoying the sound.

Temperature around 34 degrees. Very hazy skies, but don't seem to be any fires around according to Sentinel.

Not sure why the Pyramid needed a firebombing, but it got one, continues until Friday according to signage at the start of the walk.

Dry agony ahead

Definitely been a very warm August. Average is 1.3c above the MAP average and I am 1c above my warmest August average. September is gonna be a hot one. Hopefully, with all this heat about, the storms kick off early.
