Next round starts tomorrow as a series of fronts moves through alongside a good westerly belt.

Heavy showers, isolated hail and thunder will move through over the next 48 hours bringing another 20-30mm for Adelaide and surroundings, possibly 40mm with 60-100mm in the hills prompting flood warnings and a watch for the hills as already areas have been soaked with 40-60mm so far today.

Westerly winds will be quite gusty and also goes for showers, 80-100km/h gusts to be experienced in some showers, some places already including the usual Neptune Island hit with 124km/h and Parndarna 106km/h.

Onkaparinga will be the one to watch and parts of the Upper Torrens Catchment also to keep an eye out as that may flood, Onks falling at the moment but wouldn't need take much to get her up again.

Don't take this rain for granted as I think this may be our last good soaking rains before she slowly dries up and reliant on infeeds and storms for rain.

Those falls are prob best posted in the other thread to avoid confusion!

Def a moist westerly barrage starting later today but very southern in nature, N burbs won't see as much as down south with the zonal nature. Pushes a bit more up thurs but heaviest falls overnight tonight into tomorrow morning.

TS cool

Last night going home from work, it was dry in the CBD, but by the time i got off the train in Edwardstown it was torrential rain and a biting wind. Good wintry stuff, got a bit wet walking home though smile

Some VERY nice cells near southern coasts today, very lightning active for coldies. The line moving towards Aldinga way looks like an absolutely belter!

That was short but intense wind and rain which just hit the CBD.

Hail storm in Mt. Barker around 2 pm. These cold-air thunderstorms certainly seem to be capable of generating cold conditions.

Damn, Mount Barker is in the zone this year! Only one inch behind last year closing in on 8 inches for the month, wow.

Managed 2.5mm at home but very convective in nature yesterday. 1-8mm falls in general in the lower north, nice top up.

11mm in my gauge out of this so far.

Got woken several time through last night with the sudden heavy rain. Still cycled to work this morning, about 30 min after arriving it hammered down. Cycling home I had a lovely rainbow, got to Marden and the roads were little streams all over. Very patchy in nature.

only 10.8mm out of these fronts in total, was hoping for a lot more but beggers cant be choosers, not far for my 100mm for the month and will be teh first time August hits 100mm, with another possible 10mm, I should make it as only need 5.8mm
