Latest MetEye still maintains decent chance of show, but confines it to Friday and overnight into early Saturday morning now. But widens the areas of snow (now Goulburn N through to the BM's a chance). Dang. If anything, an overnight stay in Crookwell / Oberon should see a decent chance of some flakes. Possibly the last time for this year too.

Meteye can't make its mind up... now got snow over Orange 1am to 7am, it was the complete opposite before!

You can see the low getting squashed on the satellite as it comes up against the force field that has sheltered most of nsw and qld from fronts. Disconcerting as this is likely the last throw of the dice for a penetrative front

Reflects the dynamic nature of this system...MetEye is human produced so better reflects the chances?

Is it? Thought it was all automated

Quote:
MetEye is able to show maps of weather observations and the official forecasts produced by the Bureau of Meteorology. This is quite different to other map based systems which often show automatically generated, computer model data. MetEye forecast maps have been adjusted by our meteorologists to better represent expected weather. See the "About MetEye" page for further information.

What's wrong with that? Better chances of lower level snow at night.

Harder to get there. Better chances of falls though, yes.

MetEye just been updated - they are forecasting snow nearly all day tomorrow near Oberon, Crookwell, Shooters Hill and Orange. At this stage everything stays west of the ranges. Katoomba with a very outside chance of a few flakes.

I didn't think of it like that.. yep driving to the snow at night and seeing snow at night isn't the most enticing thing.

Nice heavy showers coming through atm - if these hit higher ground would be some heavy snow in them.

3.3mm / 3.5c
