My top temp today was 14.9c, with the apparent temp hovering around the 9c for most of the day.

Just the 2.6mm so far from those short sharp showers and also some thunder about not long back.

Wow that's weird!! But awesome smile

There's a cold pool over your area tonight Eddy, the same one that produced the snow on the CT's yesterday afternoon/evening so that would be the cause of the small hail.

Had 13.5mm in the 24 hours to 9am, a very welcomed drop indeed. A few solid branches laying about the place this morning. I'm yet to check the surf out, I'll do that after work this afternoon.

Yeah we rarely miss out on this type of weather events, we stick out far enough east to catch those showers that run parallel to the coast. I wouldn't be surprised if Seal Rocks scored 50+mm.

Tiona just south of Forster recorded 30mm overnight, so yeah I think 50 or more is possible for Seals.

Bleak sort of a day, hovering around 15.5C.
Looks like some possible showers, have only had 7.0mm this month over 2 days, which is very little really.
Wind is still strong enough to keep the hayfever going too.

Nice videos Kino. 1:55 in the first video was a good blow (hehe) in particular.

Sure is cold today. Sun's been mostly present but the wind has kept its chill all day. And to think that some of us wrote winter off ages ago! grin

Omg I'm nearly on 6000 posts. When did that happen??

And.......one of us wrote winter off before it even started!!! Alps looking at over 2 metres cover at present.
Sure, further northwards it's been a benign winter, but I've learnt in my 40 years of following weather never to write anything off. It is too unpredictable to do that.
There's still a perfectly good chance that the CT's could still have it's heaviest snowfall of the winter ahead. I've seen it too often before.
It's been chilly here too today.......again.
Maxed out at 14.3 deg's. Cloud came through as winds tended a bit more southerly/south-easterly during the morning. That cloud has now cleared but we're now in the cooling phase of the afternoon so it will only drop from here.
Nice vids Kino. Brings back nice memories of my childhood when my parents used to take us to the south coast for holidays. We always stopped at the blow hole. I've done the same for my kids.

Ahh Kiama blowhole. Brings back memories of getting food poisoning from a dodgy chicken skewer I unfortunately bought from a charcoal chicken joint in 1984. Certainly was an ordeal dealing with that in the caravan park. At least I met a beautiful German babe there who nursed me back to health nudge nudge wink wink.

Looked like a shower or two today but nothing as yet. A pleasing 3 days of weather that bears some resemblence to what you would expect in this area for winter.

Yeah the Kiama blowhole.
Not been there in donkey's years, not since school I think.
Was dangerous back in the day with no fencing.
There was the odd accident, people falling in, but not too many.
Will get back there one day.
Terrible day here overall, SSE airflow with cloud cover and a trace of rain ( I doubt Maitland Airport recorded anything), and max well below the forecast.

Was just thinking about that the other day and the impact the eventual snow melt will have. Should see Lake Hume filled nicely and hopefully the Murray a good flush (well you'd think with over 2000mm flogging down stream in a few weeks)

And, terrible news about the chicken skewer mate.
I've only ever known Kiama's finest take-away establishments to offer the finest culinary cuisine.
At least your food poisoning episode had a happy ending.....so to speak. grin

Yeh, worked out good Homer. A German nurse back packing. She was really something. Anyways, back to the weather. I did get into weather whining about this winter. But look on the bright side. I got the upcoming spring to whinge about soon lol

Homer- Like you I was actually one of the people that didn't write winter off. Remember I kept saying how wintry August would be?

Lol Kino nothing wrong with saying something inappropriate here, just look at some of the posts just this arvo!! grin

Knot- That whole day would've sucked.
