Gfs and access charts are off the scale
For cold, sustained low level snow
For this thread period lol

If gfs comes off then it will be snowing at
My place for nearly two days 😂😂😂😯

Very interesting is cold uppers in southern ocean still kicking warmth out Northern Australia by polar belt.

Everybody wants END cold nights as felt long cold winter.

We will have just few quick warmth NW wind slips to SE Australia, and sad cold nights and frost still keep going.

Nice samboz, it shows a shaded spot
Right over me😀😀

Jane bun all in with snow to 400m on
Monday and 300m Tuesday 😯😯❄️❄️

If this forecasts holds, then we could have a
Length period of snow to very low levels
Which may cause some issues on roads
Ect could be interesting

Very interesting weather coming
From Sunday arvo through Wednesday 👍
Big period of very low snow which hopefully
Will result in some sort of cover at my place??

Potential for snow just in the air or 5cm on
The ground ?
Wonder which way this one will go?

Yep coldest air of the season on the way next week, long duration event too with the SW polar jet coming from the Antarctic shelf pointed straight at SE AUS.

Gonna be long duration wind event as well, with loads of showers gusty winds etc.

Low level snow, gales, heavy falls on coasts and elevated parts alps will get lots of snow.

Is it Oct yet so over the cold.

One last month of winter lol

Spring always Oct to Dec here and Summer Jan to March

Yep watching with interest, will have a good look at it tomorrow. Doesn't look much colder at 850 hpa than last cold blast but above that it is colder. Wait and see.

Yeah i think 400-500 is looking good -4-5c at 850 at times is pretty good.

Only worry for me is the W, WNW, WSW, air flow so getting moisture further inland might be issue for Macedon further inland parts that dont do well in that air flow.
But any shower if you get it will snow and with very cold uppers a warmer sun should get convection during the day.

Mount Donna and Lake Mountion be buried as to W and S Tassie and the Alps.

Think you will see snow for sure doogasnow but another 100-150m higher will def get big thick covering

Hopefully this "last gasp - winters blast" will put an end to the bloody frosts we've resumed again here in N Gippsland over the past few days!

Funny day here, was expecting strong NW'lies by the local forecast, but it was mostly calm, spitting at times post lunch, then had a sharp 0.25mm shower circa 4:30pm.

Mild at golf, felt like a storm could have brewed.

If significant snow falls this week, will be great for Vic (NSW??) catchments. Also in line with a "normal rain" expectation for Victoria this spring - as most climatologists predict from my observations.

Looking forward to Dooga's photo's, and also Samboz's snaps of Mt Wellington whenever the chance is presented. Wellington looked great today with plenty of snow area clearly visible from Royal Maffra Golf Club.
