Yeah pretty rubbish weather aye. The air has a lot of chill to it and in the wind it feels bitterly cold. We didn't get winter in July and July so here's our winter I guess!! Can't wait for the weekend warm up.

In shore temps must be damn cold to produce a seabreeze at 15-16C.

It's one of those UGH nothing days - neither windy; nor raining; nor sunny & warm. It's everything yet nothing lol.

I checked the SST's out but they are only useful for off the coast - still quite warm though, but those constant deep lows are starting to erode the warmer waters.

Oh joy, oh joy, another bitterly cold southerly due around lunch tomorrow here, gusting 25-30 knots. Slight chance of a isolated shower along the coast around evening or overnight. But cold cold cold frown

Rubbish day indeed, at least we got our 4-18C forecast.
Still well below average of 19.9C for August (old station), and that is not allowing for the fact it is the 3rd last day.
Things looking brighter by the end of the week though.

Sure does look like a warmer start to September by the weekend; short lived if GFS / EC are correct though.

If there is some genuine rain with the event, then happy to grin and bear it.
But the crud weather, with cloud cover and only 1-2mm or just a trace of rain, is not.

I'm dreaming of a La Nina xmas. I don't mind some dry warmth on the weekend to wash and dry some woollen blankets. The sky looked pregnant with rain this arvo but no delivery. A few spits. Wind was chilly.

Need rain bad here,40kms inland from the coast, but the coastal fringe has been getting a good drop.it looks like phones wont be able to watch my live weathercam here in Ellalong as far as I know,it looks like only laptops and desttop computers will be able to view the stream. After you download the latest microsoft silverlight,a short download, and it is safe.

Sadly EC has had a massive downgrade overnight frown pulling any chance of snow back to the higher peaks and also lowering rainfall. Let's hope it's just one of those model games and it picks it up again next run.

Still, Spring starts with a few warmer days but then early next week straight back into well-below average temps (Tuesday only 16 here which effectively means 14 most of the day frrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkk frown

GFS though now shows a classic westerly front on Wednesday that looks quite good.

Looks like the rest of this week will be cold too with about 16C today (could actually reach the forecasted 18 if westerly stays) and then about 15 or even less tomorrow. This week is probably shaping up to the coldest of the year, and next could be colder.

Pretty much dead on when EC said the southerly would arrive, and it has. Full force yet to come later this arvo, still chance of a coastal strip shower I reckon.

OMG today is the 1st day in weeks we actually made the forecast temp - still below average though. But we struggled to 18, thanks to the weaker than forecast southerly.

Or maybe he is enjoying this weather so doesn't feel the need to complain about it. But he could be tied up too poke

Nuvver nice brisk morning. It has been good to round Aug out with a few reasonably wintery days. Now onwards to a mildish spring and summer for the icing on knotty's weather cake he he
