But yet the news last night stated "Today (March 31st) marks the end of the storm season"....

I thinks it's a good policy to disregard anything that the Daily Telecrap has to say about the weather. Or about anything else.

Do they still have the page 3 girl in the Telegraph?

These morning fogs are a bit of a thing now, and today's one went all day as overhead cloud, weird stuff that cleared around sunset. Eyeing the end of week rain with hope and interest, and there's a cold punch behind that system but should stay too far south to affect us, yet. the kiwis will get it however.

Classic autumn pea souper on Sydney Harbour this morning. Very thick. Could not see the Opera House from the Bridge.

It is still rolling through the CBD in waves. One minute the sun is shining through the windows and the next minute you cannot see a block away.

Hopefully another sweaty and humid day to follow with NO freaking cloud please!

It's foggy here as well, which is unusual, especially this late. I used to work in the Sydney CBD. Some mornings the train it would be sunny at the start and the train would descend into the fog.

The RTA Webcam shows that you can barely see the Harbour Bridge from the Harbour Bridge, although it's sunny in many places around Sydney.

Here's the view from Kirribili: http://www.sydney-webcam.com/index.php?nav=cam1

At the moment, the view in the other direction ('Harbour Bridge Cam) is a white-out.

Fog in Sydney almost always means a sunny day to follow.

Ok I sent the fog to Sydney, we had it a couple of mornings - your turn. smile

Bright blue skies here and quite a cool morning of about 8 degrees.

Autumn is definitely settling in nicely out here, regular heavy morning dews and fogs, nights around 10 degrees, days shortening, trees all now getting underway for Autumn too.

Last 2 mornings 9 & 8, this morning was the first morning of the year I have actually felt a bit cool and put on a sleeveless vest in the office, just about to take it off now. Toes cool.

Ant would be having a similar time in Canned berra. smile

We even saw little bits of mist near the creeks which is VERY rare here with the topography.

The pea soup fog shifted to Middle Harbour this morning. Could not see Clontarf Beach from Spit Bridge this morning. More appropriate I think as it presents an eerie, misty shroud at the entrance/exit to God's country, aka the northern beaches.

The fog on Port Jackson was much thinner today compared to yesterday.

Another warm and sticky day coming up hopefully.

Clear of fog again this morning here, about 10 degree min.

Friday/tomorrow still looking like good rain in Southern & Central inland NSW. Rain quite possible in most areas of NSW but more in bottom half it seems. Time will tell. Southern Tablelands/Snowies looks very interesting for perhaps the heaviest falls.

Lovely morning here and probably the coldest morning so far this year. The airport nearby says it's 14 degrees but I think it's more like 10 or 11 here. Unfortunately cloud cover will probably start building late morning and make for a cloudy afternoon.

I just checked the Obs Hill daily summary page - http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/dwo/IDCJDW2124.latest.shtml and it really is a mess. Missing temperature data, missing rainfall data and rainfall entries that are clearly wrong. Let's just see how long it takes to be fixed. If at all.

Manly Hydraulics are having their problems with the SST bouy data. This page, http://new.mhl.nsw.gov.au/data/realtime/sst/, (will update) showing only one out of seven bouys reporting any data. Dear oh dear!

Letting off now, that was a very surprising and intense little burst out of 'nowhere'.

BOM have dropped the "showers clearing" to "isolated showers" so seems these showers should continue for most of the day now.

AccessG going for a beauty of an ECL and associated flooding commencing this Friday... With SST off the coast very warm I'd imagine any ECL will deliver a bucket load of rain.

Jeebus that'll fill a dam or two on the along the coast. EC and GFS not really into it at the moment. Will be watching with interest.

Another 22mm in Penrith yesterday, garden wouldn't mind some sunshine right about now. I cant believe I just wrote that after the past 9 months of bone dry conditions!

It would be nice to see an ECL. This time of year is usually when they really start to ramp up with June normally the peak for ECL's.

Quite a heavy shower here in Shellharbour area just now around 6.45pm, with "super drizzle' continuing afterwards. Nothing much to see on radar.
